Day 1
So... A fresh start from the beginning. To explain this post, I am attempting to keep a little journal of my JBA Titanium Longtube Header and Catted H Pipe install similar to Lowe!'s ARH install write-up. I am attempting to do this install in my garage on a pair of jackstands (with a little help from Dad)
HERE THEY ARE:
Attachment 32185
Attachment 32186
Attachment 32187
I was really eager to get the install going so I got her up on jack stands and pulled the battery and H-pipe.
Attachment 32190 (H-Pipe picture had to many kb to post)

You'll need a set of 2 -02 extensions. Forget the loctite, it loses it's hold after 450 degrees or so. After you are done let the engine warm up completely and then let it cool. After that, go over all the header bolts again. You'll get another half turn out of them. You can get to all of the header bolts with a standard wrench except one bolt on the passenger's side near the middle of the head. You'll need a long extension and a u-joint for that bolt.

That's correct. You'll need to extend 2 of the wiring harness sections. The front 2 sensors will remain near their original locations. The rear 2 sensors will be moved further back on the system.

I extended the wires myself using solder and heat shrink tubing then just added a piece of that corregated black plastic loom tubing that Ford has all over the car for the harnesses.

I will try...not quite sure how. i think i could link a video thru photobucket. I am really pumped to finish her up. I think I will be done by tomorrow, atleast that is what I am planning on. BTW for mufflers i have the FRPP stingers

Basicly you have a section of wiring harness that plugs into the 02 sensor pigtail. You'll unplug them from each other, add the extension in between them because the sensor will be further back on the exhaust system. Since it's further back you'll need an extension which allows the factory harness to reach the new location.

Okay cool. I ordered an O2 sensor extension from summitracing.com and tried to put it on the front O2 sensor, but it only fits on the back 02 sensors. There are little tabs around the outside that dont line up with the stock ones. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Driver's Side Comin Up....
After some arm stretching, I got the driver's side manifold loose, but I was unable to take it out of the car due to the motor mount, steering shaft, etc.

An hour or so later... after unhooking the steering shaft and motor mount,
ITS FREE!!

Now ready to get the driver's side LT Header in

Took me a long time and a couple of hands to get the driver's side in, but it was done. Already LOOKS loud under there if you know what I am talking about.

Worked on the passenger side and got the manifold out with a little more ease after taking out the starter. Instead of taking the motor mount completely off I just swung it out of the way like in Lowe!'s ARH install journal. (Thanks)

BOTH ARE ON AND READY FOR THE H-PIPE TO GO ON

Who want to hear open headers???!!!!! I DO.
By the way during this install, I also put on some tail light tint "blackout" 20%

This put the biggest grin on my face when I started her up
I will post one with the catted H when I get it off the jack stands and get it ready to drive. Still trying to figure out the O2 sensor extension situation.

If I read your post right you said the extensions only fit the rear sensors, not the front....That's what you want.... to extend the rears because they will be placed further back on the system. The fronts should be able to use the existing vehicle wiring harness without extensions.

sweet man! Congratz! I'm loading your open LTs file right now. Edit: Sounds badass! Get a clip of the full exhaust up too! Is that the flowmaster Axle-back?
Few questions for you. Did you put in new head bolts for the LTs? How difficult was the steering shaft to move out of the way? What were the main tools you used? What were your main problems? Re-use motor mounts?
Sorry for all of the questions, but I will be doing the ARH LT + H-pipe install this winter!

I ended up using only 3 of the 4 O2 extensions supplied w/ my ARH LTs. I can't remember which stock wire was long enough. Maybe I noted it in my install journal post around here somewhere.
GOarmy08, I used new bolts, again supplied by ARH. I went ahead and invested the $4 in anti-seize just for piece of mind. You know, the whole SST bolt in Alum threads thang. The steering shaft is pretty easy to move. I noted it in that Install Journal too. Just mark it so you put it back just like it came off. Removing the 2 10mm from inside the firewall made it all happen. My favorite tool, as noted, was the swivel headed racheting box-end wrench. I reused my stock motor mounts. The only problem I had to go for help for was sliding the H-pipe all the way up the collectors. Without a lift, I just didn't have the space (or more importantly, patients).
