Well, it was Friday night and it's taken me this long to come down from it and do a post. Man, what a rush!! Here's my slips.
[attachmentid=19789]
First two were left lane and third was right lane (#4202). No training, no experience, no tips...even forgot to turn off TCS on run #2 but that turned out to be my best run. Stock everything except Bassani axleback and LCAs. 13.902 @ 101.30
Can't wait to do it again!
Sorry, no pics of cute AMSOIL babes!!

Great job, I know EXACTLY how it is to forget to turn off the TCS. It puts a downer in your burnout when you hit second gear and your car dies. I am jealous though, my first time to the drag strip was in my 66 mustang with a 351 2V engine and I ran a 16.06. Looks like you can drive your car as well as those doing it for quite some time.

I'm trying to add the file attachment like I always have but it's failing:

Well, there goes another one for being addicted! Here comes the modding. Great times! It is a downer when you don't turn off the TCS and it nearly stalls. Besides all the adrenaline flowing and everyone watching, your mind is out of focus.

Great strip times! My best run ever was in my '68 GTO (400 H.O, 4-speed, 3.55 gears at Fremont Raceway, circa 1979) still holds my 1/4 mile record time: 12.96 at 101.6 mph. Still can't understand why the speed wasn't higher but that car was crazy fast...although the GT is mighty close!

The TCS will take away from your time. With it off, it'll require more controlling of the car for better times. With it on, you'll get good times, but can only go so fast with the car controlling everything.

Well, I think I found the problem. File size wasn't it. Image size was. Original image was 1275x965. Once I reduced it to 1024x775, the server accepted it, even at 100% quality (474K). It's currently at 70% quality which is 167K...
