A shiny new Houston S197 Club website with a intro displaying our 4 different colored '05's would be awesome.....Nice shot of the 4 of us with our cars with a caption underneath saying "Founding members Bryan, Steve, Todd, and John"......aaaahhhhh....too sweet! The possibilities are endless considering how many people in the Houston area will own '05's in the near future....it's good we're having the foresight to be the first choice for new owners to join up with and receive some good info and have fun at the same time....cruises, racetrack days, and restaurant get togethers never get old in my book!

This sounds awesome guys. I can certainly help moderate a board.

Y'all are both south, right? I'm northwest.

I have started the site... I need some web/graphics artist to help with the layout. if I do it , it will look very corporate.

bryan...

i do/did a lot of web design. flash work, 3d, html, photoshop, blahblahblah. that kinda thing. work keeps me pretty busy, but i could probably find some time to work some stuff out.

check out this site zeroarchitecture.com, i did this for a few friends who have their own firm. it's a work in progress, but i did the animated flash logo up at the top. (really really simple design). took just a few minutes. try reloading (don't use refresh it'll just load the same .html version) the page over and over. i did 6 or 7 color variates. all with the same animated menu.

i've done a few others with some 3d work and what not. i can show more when the time comes.

can't wait to see what happens.

*ps...maybe we should all meet up again to go over it. i can see the resterant parking lot now. it'll look like a car show.

I can help man. I sent you a PM. Here's some sites that I have done for others in the past:

http://www.pollination.us/

http://www.beacon-designs.com/road/

http://www.beacon-designs.com/exotic/

The Exotic Imports site uses a custom PHP script and a MySQL database to run the inventory. Since the company I built it for went bankrupt and never paid me (), I use it for uploading school projects and such. I can give you access to the ADMIN section so you can see how that works as well if you would like.

http://www.beacon-designs.com/mustang/ (That's a little flash intro I was working on for a Mutsang site)

http://www.beacon-designs.com/mustang/index2.html (Mustang site itself, never bothered finishing it because I don't have time to update content ..)

http://www.beacon-designs.com/newdesign/ (New design I'm working on for my site)

http://www.beacon-designs.com .. My current home site.

Here's another design I was playing around with. The colors are awful but the concept was fairly decent.

http://www.beacon-designs.com/images/design3.gif

I've got some free time over Christmas break that I can work on it. (I'm 17, a senior in high school).

I hear ya! I burned mine on a DVD and brought it to show my father-in-law.

I'm in STL for the holidays. Hope y'all have a good Christmas!

Nice numbers. 271hp equates to about 319hp at the flywheel. I really doubt that mufflers added 18hp. Either the drivetrain on these cars is more efficient than 15% loss (probably) or ford is slightly underrating the new engine. (also probably) Can't wait for them to build mine.

Someone stated that Ford told them the 05 GT loses only 12% from the engine to the wheels due to improved design.

Anyone know anything about that? That would put many of the numbers spot on the 300hp mark. I'm not so sure about it though?

Between 12 & 13% from what I've seen. If you don't know what Ford started with (for real), it's pretty hard to do the math correctly.

300hp is the factory hp at the flywheel.....that's not what it is once it goes through the tranny and hits the ground.....that's never the case with any car.....you always lose.....and you lose even more with the automatic.....mine will show about 290 on a dynojet dyno at the rearwheel on my auto, which equates to about 350 at the flywheel.....it's about a 17% loss with an auto....little less with a stick....
Wow sweet, STEEDA says they got a 350 hp kit in the works which is essentially the same as your mods.

Very nice.
