Mustang performance questions

Hey guys i am new to the whole mustang thing as well as Ford. I really like my 2006 mustang gt and only thing i have done to her is a bassani exhaust. I kinda wanna stay N/A but i wanna runs 12's and beat my buddies STI. would a cold air intake, cams, underdrive pulley's, and a tune and tuner with my exhaust to the trick or should i just go supercharger? i am open to anything????? your help is appreciated.

It depends on what is done to the Subaru and what model year it is.

Most likely you will get beat 9 times out of 10 with a well modded STI.

There's more to adding boost to your car than just buying the kit. You'll need a slew of supporting modifications to help you maximize the performance of your vehicle. In your case since you seem to be new to modding your mustang is to start small.

Stick with bolt ons. You can't go wrong with a complete exhaust, intake and a nice tune. As far as beating your friend? It's an STI. Spanking you is as simple as turning up the boost just a bit. Factory force induced cars are really easy to make extra power without alot of cash outlay.

Full bolt ons cams gears and tires. Or blower and tires. If you can get the bolt ons used here and there its a lot more affordable. If you want 350 rwhp ask and ill tell you exactly what to get.

STIs ain't anything to worry about, just get a good set of tires and gears

Here's a video of me vs my buddy's pretty modded sti, bigger turbo, front mount, and stand alone Ecu

My car was on an 87 tune with just 410 gears on factory tires

If I hooked I would of been to close to call. If I had my drag radials and 93 tune and off road x pipe I would of got him

If you go NA dont forget the LT headers to really get the cams to work, but you will be much more happier with a supercharger,I love my Paxto Novi 2200,check em out a brenspeed.com,if you would choose it buy the paxton with the intercooler, has a bigger supercharger

Make sure you get camshafts that even lift. You don't your friends asking if you do or not.

My last Mustang an 08 did 13.3 sec in 1/4mi with CAI/tunes/4.10 gears/exhaust.
Added Roushcharger with slicks and went to 12.3 and always a blast.
There is always more you can do, but this was my mild experience.
My current 07 I'm just with CAI/tunes, maybe add 4.10's again. Done racing just want fun.

I wish I could test drive a gt with 4.10's. I want them sooo bad but afraid to pull the trigger on them. I don't plan on doing suspension mods and afraid it may make more car more difficult to control taking off, therefore making me possibly slower? But don't get me wrong though, I'm not bad at driving my car. For example when I was on 93 tune, I got a lot of wheel hop(thinking a good bit had to do with tires having 42000 miles on them lol), but it made me technically slower taking off.

I guess its kinda like the same thinking of getting a SC. That's great in all but you need other suspension mods to stabilize the car with all that power. I'm guessing I'd be okay stock everything else but hopefully my point was made.

Ok, so I put down 329. The tuner showed me a sheet from another guys car with 2 different mods and he made 348. Here's the list. CAI, FRPP intake, brenspeed Detroit rocker cams, LTs, o/r h pipe, flowmaster 40s. The two differences were that I had CMDPs and ***** thumpr cams. If I went with the other stuff from the beginning it only would have cost like $200 more.
