hmm.. Would this read A/F ratio without a wideband AF sensor installed?
also.. could it read supercharger boost?

now i'm kinda in between this and the SCT Livewire

finally.. would you ship to Dubai?

Yes it reads AFR without a wideband installed. Yes I would ship to Dubai, I'll send over a PM.

As for the supercharger boost: I don't think it does right now, but I can call MSD for you and see if that's something they can ever incorporate.

I might end up getting one of these CR.

I know with the SCT Livewire you have to install a wideband to read A/F's.

I'm going to wait and read some reviews before I order mine though,

Thanks man.

Tillman, any luck with finding a pod for it? Maybe the F150 pod could be made to work?

If not, maybe you could convince MSD to make a custom pod for us mustangers

F150 pod doesnt fit, I assume there is a way to make it work, but when it's done... the thing still looks GI-NOR-MOUS on the Mustang dash. Autometer is who would make the pod, but it would take them forever. I wouldn't mount it with a pod honestly. It looks better without.

If you want I'll call autometer and talk to our buddy who would probably end up being in charge of design anyway. If anyone can get it into production, it would be him. But like I said, Autometer probably wont touch it if they wont sell 1,000+ and it would take 6 months of waiting before anyone saw one, easily.

Tillman, thanks for the info. I personally prefer a finished/factory look, whether it be by means of a pod or something else. Not to say that it looks bad without, but I think it would even better with a pod.

I highly doubt that autometer would make a pod for it, for two reasons: they don't make the product, and there probably isn't nearly enough demand for it. And, even if they did make it, the pod would probably be a universal fit, not specific to the mustang.

Interesting concept that MSD had, but IMO MSD needs to make some pod setups for it. Once again, just my opinion. For now, I'm going to wait. Maybe I can play around with some locations in the car for it, and in the meantime keep my wallet happy as well.

Technically this might be true, but only during closed loop operation during which the AFR is almost always 14.7:1. The farther above or below stoichiometric the engine is actually running, the less accurate the original equipment narrow band O2 sensor readings become. You cannot tune an engine under load based on narrowband readings.

What I would be worried about is knocking the thing loose with my knee every time I got in or out of the car. If the plug/cable is anything like the Excalibrator's, that's a pretty good size piece jutting out the bottom of the dash.

Autometer make the pod's for the Edge Additude monitor. The only reason they wont be interested in making it for the Mustang is the market. A hell of a lot more guys will buy an edge for a diesel truck than a DashHawk for a Mustang. For them it wouldn't be profitable enough.

Yeah, I'm going to do some playing around with mounting it as well. I'll let you know what I come up with!!! THANKS!

This is true, but this monitors AFR for driving, as it sits on the dash as a monitor for the parameters. It's not meant to be held in the hand like Innovate and tune a vehicle with wideband. It allows you to monitor AFR for precautionary reasons while driving.

But you're exactly right. That's why this is not meant for tuning.
