At 55 and going by the dash display I get 34. At 70 I get 27.5 and around town about 17.5.

this is starting to get on my nerves
how the @#%^ do you get anywhere above 15mpg?!
i've reset my mileage display.. set cruise control at 100km/h or 60mph on 5th gear.. and the message center showed 20mpg, 19, 18...... 15mpg
and the moment i feathered the pedal.. this plunged down to 12

if i peel out once or floor it, my mpg is burried below 10

now unless you're doing 0-60 in 27 minutes.. i really don't understand how you can get such mileage..

perhaps it's just the way i drive and the way my car is used to me (everytime i reset the PCM, i let her learn the idle trims by idling peacefully for a couple minutes, then i drove it like i stole it)

i've driven her at 65F and i've driven her at 115F..
i tend to take it easy on the car when it's so hot outside, so naturally my mileage would improve.. still not by much
i got the 8.2mpg last month, with an average outdoor temperature of 90F

Well,
I used to get ~18.5 avg (40% city / 40% Country / 20% Highway yay B'Spa NY) With a little bit of gusto go get my hoss moving. However, since I've installed the Pypes O/R H and the Pypes Mid-muffler system I've been tooting around at ~21.0 avg (same 40/40/20 ratio)

I Suppose there are a lot of factors that can go into such a thing...

Altitude, Weight, Inclination (going up/down), Crappy vs Good gas, long periods of idle, mods.. and of course the all important foot factor..

But In the end its a Mustang GT, if you get good MPG, then its just an added bonous.

Driven in Summers, 10 Months of total Driving (3 years).

The Country is basically FLAT, but Windy.
Driven 70% Highway at 70 Mph.,In town Semi Aggressive.

Max., Min., Short Runs (Down Hill with the Wind), and Computer Read Outs are Not Accurate (give a sense of what is happening).

The Truth appears when calculating Gas Used to Miles Driven.

Mine is 18.7 Mpg for 11500 miles.
This is using American gallons.

Of all the cars I've owned in the past 40 years, I don't think I've ever had one that had such a huge difference in mpg depending on whether I'm doing city or highway driving.

Idonno how accurate the computer guess is for the mpg.

How many miles do you go in 1/2 a tank? (... if the gas gauge is accurate! haha!)

Prior to the Whipple a full tank lasted anywhere between 185-210 miles
now with the whipple i'm averaging 125 to 150 miles per tank

assuming a 16US Gal tank capacity, i hate to admit the darn thing was spot on

I just checked this on a road trip to Myrtle Beach this weekend. As soon as i got up to highway speed, I reset everything on the computer. drove for about 100 miles before stopping. Did that 3 times. Here's the results:

1. Avg speed - 71 mph. MPG 26.0
2. Avg speed - 57 mph. MPG 25.7
3. Avg speed - 72 mph. MPG 25.1

For the first 10 miles or so, the MPG was over 30 MPG. After awhile is steadily declined until it settled into the 25-26 range.

For my daily driving, I get usually 22 MPG. Average speed is usually around 40 mpg. I don't baby it, but I'm not racing it either. I like to thump it when the light turns green, but once I'm up to speed I take it easy. I'm 75/25 hwy/city about 40 miles a day.

Stop and go kills your mpg in this car. Next time you fill up, reset your mpg, drive on the hwy for a mile or two to get the mpg up. Then, at your next stoplight, gun it and watch the mpg. Unbelievable how fast it plummets.

G.T...if I am reading your signature correctly, you are Supercharged and running 465 rwhp....that may be why your gas mileage sux. I think the majority of the people, myself included, are running stock V8's. I have been averaging 23-25 mpg, mostly on Interstate travel to and from the city, at 75 mph. On a recent trip through a canyon, 25 miles, I was averaging 21-22, but never hit 5th.

Just my .02

My first five fill-ups since I bought it ( miles driven/gallons used ):

20.5
22.0
21.5
22.3
24.2

My average MPH on the readout is 31 MPH since I bought the car ( I've never reset it ).

The first four MPG figures were roughly 70% city. The last was 50% highway. ( Car is stock, and I have 3.31 gears, which will change eventually ).

The AVG MPG feature is very accuate so far, always within 0.3 MPG.

Last weekend I made a 150 mile trip, and recorded 30.0 MPG - averaged around 70 MPH.
