Motovator Throttle Body Spacer

Anyone on here use these or a different type. Have you noticed any performance or MPG gain. Also do they require a tune.

I don't believe that they require a tune

On some older vehicles that do not have direct port injection they help but on these cars I can't see it helping much.

Most people say they look wonderful on a shelf in the garage.
A little overpriced for a garage ornament in my opinion.

I bought a Steeda one...
Can't tell any difference, at all.
But at WOT I get a cool faux turbo/ supercharger whine type sound?

One of my buddies installed a throttle-body spacer on his 06 F-150, and with his intake, the thing whines almost non-stop. It was kind of cool at first, but after driving his truck for 300 miles on a road trip, it was just annoying...

I only get the whine at WOT.
Like I said, it's kinda cool in a cheesy kinda way.

I installed the Spacer on the same day that I got my 4:10's.
I took my brother for a drive and told him I got a turbo charger.
He believed my up to the point that I opened the hood.

I put a Jet spacer on mine. It does absolutely nothing as far as I can tell. Maybe it adds a miniscule amount of HP, but over all, it was a good waste of $90.

Yeah I put a Steeda spacer on mine. I don't have a whine but it did do something for me.....made me get rid of my plenum cover so I can but the GT strut tower brace instead of the one made for V6's.

If it did make a difference in the car I don't notice it.

There's some big threads about this. Do a search and you'll turn up all kinds of stuff. It's mostly seen as a waste of gas money. As much as I'd like to believe they work, 1" of ribbing probably isn't enough to give the results claimed.

i had the JET on mine, it worked guys. Despite most of your experiences on other vehicles, and I know I can see it coming, all the questions about dyno sheets, yada yada yada. i dont have dyno sheets. there was one member who dyno'd @ 1HP and about 10lbs of TQ, you'd have to do a search to find the thread. but most of the T/B spacer owners on here will agree with me with.....

it DID increase my gas mileage, about 2-3MPG. that plus the combination of a SCT TUNE, Throttle lag completely gone!!! a tune will not get it out completely, I did numberous tests of bolting and unbolting the spacer off and confirmed that the combination got rid of it completely, and felt like I was stepping on a gas pedal that had a wire attached to it. i also did feel a bit of increase on the low end of power. but all, for the $90 i payed to increase gas mileage and get rid of that throttle lag, gain 10lbs of torque and to have a cool whine sound, it was well worth every penny.
