I have 2250 miles and it's the first change. What is your choice of the two?

Can you not find the Mobil 5W-20 (my choice)? 5W-20 IS on the oil fill cap...

What about 5W-30 in mobil 1? Is it better for our cars, Less breakdown?

Depending on where you live and how hot it is then you can use a higher weight oil, especially in the summer.

Oh yeah, and I run Mobil 1 10W-30 full synthetic since 5000 miles.

I recall reading another post where 5w30 is not recommended and was also told by the service manager not to use it. I guess someone has been using it in an 05 GT that was purchased at the same dealership and he now has a knocking noise that they can't figure out.

Yeah, it's been discussed here quite a bit. Personally, I'd stick with the 5W20. Mobil1 is now available in 5W20 so don't bother with 0W20. Amsoil is also an excellent choice. You can't go wrong with either one.

I just ordered my Amsoil 5W-20 for the 'Stang and my 2004 F-150. Been running it in the truck for over 25K miles now and can't report any noticeable differences, but the less frequent oil changes sure are nice.
