I bought the mmr cold air intake and the x Calibrator and flashed the cpu with the 87 octane tune. The car is sort of flat until it hits about 3800 rpms and then it pulls really strong. Is it the 87 tune or did I do something wrong? I followed the directions and the lights worked as they said they would.

I have had the same setup but all I can tell you is even with my mods up to today the car always feels as if it is not pulling as hard until after 3K. I think it just has to do with the nature of this motor and it's ability to make better power with it's flow characteristics at higher rpm's and it is a heavier car. The only real answer you will get is if you put it on a track or dyno and find out if it performs as it should.

You'll get more response lower going to the 91 tune, but not a lot. It might be time for you to look into going to 4.10's.

You might try flashing it again to make sure the 87 tune was accepted.

The first time I flashed it I know that I messed it up but the second time I'm sure I got it right. My fuel milage went from 21 to 17 and now on the second tank it's back to 20.5. I think as soon as the this tank is empty I'm going to try out the 91 tune. Thanks for the replies everyone!
