The price for the entire kit is $350, but the tube itself is $170. I remember Mark at MMR saying there would be a discount on the high flow tube for those of us who already bought the original intake kit. So, I'm not sure why we have to pay an EXTRA $20 to get the tube now. I need to try and call Mark and see what's up with that. The tube should be no more than $150, if the intake kit is $200. The site says that the total kit (with tube) adds up to 35 RWHP.

Edit: It comes in red, black or silver.

35rwhp from a cold air kit? I find that kinda hard to believe but hey I'd buy it just for the looks alone. oh how I do miss the days of old when you could replace your air snorkel with a cool chrome open air filter for about 35bucks.

Here is the link to MMR: http://home.earthlink.net/~marklutonracing1/

35 RWHP is possible with an entire kit. That would include a new high flow filter, new mass air sensor and a high flow inlet tube. These inlet tubes are made of some material that does not retain heat, so the air going to the intake stays colder. Hence CAI (Cold Air Intake). The C&L CAI is $370 and adds 30 RWHP. So, for MMR to be able to get close to 35, I would not be surprised. Mark at MMR knows is stuff.

I already ordered the tube, and yes, for the buyers of the first MMR intake waiting for the tube you get a good discount

I don't think that is with a new mass air sensor. That is with just their air sensor mount, not a new sensor itself. Also, fortunately for us, adding the 4" tube will not require a new tune.

Thanks! I will be ordering it today. Make sure to disconnect the battery after installing it to reset it. I read on the V6 forum that someone got the high flow tube for the MMR V6 intake and didn't get any power gain because they didn't reset the battery.

Let me get this straight, this thing adds 35hp without a tune?
What I really want to know is does this require a tune? I want a CAI kit but dayum 300bucks for one and then I have to spend another 400 for a tuner because you are pretty much required to tune it after any other CAI install.

You need a tune, mainly to reprogram the computer to recognize the new mass air size. You will not get the full gain without a tune.

Does the tune come with it?

I'd like to get just the tube itself, although, I have a Steeda CAI. I know Steeda is in the works for one. I just want one sooner. But $170...ouch. Anyone that has purchased one care to buy another one and I'll be more than happy to send you the money, or send the money first.

I can try but I think they are sticking us with just 1 per original order.
