Mil eliminators
Recently I bought some Mil eliminators to get my car through emissions (obd test only) i have no rear 02 sensors since I installed long tubes, and was told all i needed were mil eliminators, and did not need rear 02 sensors installed at all. I installed the mils, retuned with rear 02 sensors turned on, and it threw me two codes. p2272 and p2270. any insight?

The two codes are O2 sensor lean codes. In other words, the computer still is 'seeing' something it doesn't like. MIL eliminators or not. It sounds like they're not good, or wrong for your car.

And the consensus as far as I've seen seems to be a custom tune to kill the codes (and the rear O2s) permanently.

I never have bought any for my Mustang but I did buy a set for a '99 M6 Z28 I used to own and they worked for about 10 miles......had to get the tune tweaked to delete the rear O2 values....after that everything was fine.

hey man, sorry they aren't working for you. you didn't say what you needed them for. i bought those new 3 years ago when i first put on my o/r h-pipe. had codes thrown as well but not sure what ones. i was told that the 05+ ecu didn't always work well with MIL eliminators so i took them off and they've been sitting on my shelf in the garage since.
