X3!! Anybody that has purchased the MGW SN95 shifter (or any other of their products) knows MGW doesn't compromise on quality. It should be a great product and worth the wait.

I'm guessing that it will be around the same as the Pro 5.0 and the Tri-ax, as it was for the SN95.

Unless his patent is adjustable pricing

to be honest our shifter will probably be the most expensive on the market. not just because of the patented features it will have but because it will be built with many things other shifters do not have.

it will be an all machined unit complete with lower and upper dust boots. sound and vibration dampening shrouds and top shelf bolts and hardware.

as i said it will be in a class by itself. overengineered? probably

but thats just the way i want it to be

price range 250-300 dollars is my best guess.

That's probably fair. Not too much more than the better ones currently on the market. And if it as good as it sounds, then it should be worth it.

Very fair, considering the Steeda is $280. Guess it is time to finally sell the Saleen adapter block.

I bet the adjustability is that you can position the shifter arm in various arrangements by rotating it on the shift lever- just like the SN95 shifters are.

you are correct. we have 2 utility patents for our older shifter.

1. the swivel handle design
2. the vibration dampening center shaft design.

but those 2 features were going to be part of our new shifter all along. i knew they would have them when i started.

there is a new feature that will be in addition to these features.

George thanks for the info. I for one will be waiting for your shifter. I have experienced your shifter on an 02 GT and would have no other. I wait patiently.

I got tired of waiting since last year and ordered the Pro 5.0 last week. But hey, it's not like most of us don't go through parts like a baby goes through diappers. Let the MGW shifter show it's worth on the street and track where it counts, and who knows...that's why there's a classifieds section, right?

okay guys,

the design is finalized and the patent attorney has filed the provisional paperwork. we are in production now and as promised here is a video of the test mule in our 2005 gt.

a little info about the vid

- the throw on this setting is about 2.500" 1-2

- the throw on the shifter is adjustable from a little over 3" to about 2.250"

- as you can see we have developed a way to have a short throw AND a short **** height AND little effort to move from left to right. i am literally using 2 fingers to push it into 5th and reverse. the centering spring to 3rd from 2nd however is quite positive and beefy.

Looks very short Nice! What shift **** is that? I"m assuming the noise of the shifter is just the nature of your camera mic.

actually that is just the factory ****.

the noise is just the linkage from tranny . there were absolutely no dust boots
or anything under that leather boot as i am just testing the hsifter so you hear the snick snick alot more pronounced. also the car was not even on so it just sounds louder than it actually is.

That makes sense!.... I could tell the car wasn't on, but no dust boots would make a difference!
