UPDATE!!!

well the shifter pieces that i make are basically done and at the anodizers. the only thing i am waiting on is the first production run of the rubber sound plates and lower dust boots. my target of mid march looks spot on and we should start assembling the shifters by middle of the week after next to go out.

AS SOON as i get the rubber dust boots i will be assembling a complete shifter and posting FULL detailed pics.

oh and our patent application was filed this week and everything is done.

regards
george

Thanks for all the updates George. Any idea how much shorter the shifts are in comparison to the competition with the shifter set to it's shortest shift setting? Thanks again for all the updates.

I was being sarcastic that it looks like you planned the release date around my needs. As in, I'm not ready this week. But probably will be ready when you are. Nevermind.

AND FINALLY SOME PICTURES OF THE COMPLETE SHIFTER!!!!!

( WELL NOT EXACTLY COMPLETE I AM STILL WATING ON THE "UPPER" DUST BOOT AND THIS PICTURE DOES NOT SHOW THE RUBBER SOUND PLATE THAT IS PART OF THE KIT)

some notes about the pictures....

1. the side view shows the shifter with the shift handle option for use with
a hurst ball ****. we will also have 2 other options for the shift rod: 1 for the stock **** and even one for the older 12mm x 1.75 pitch threads.

2. the lower linkage bracket ( the square part on the bottom with the hole in it is shown fully retracted in the center shaft. this will give the "LONGEST" throw setting. about 10-15 percent shorter than stock. when extended to its usable range limit it will shorten the throw close to 50 percent!!!

3. the top view shows a significant feature. we stabilize the shifter with the tranny close to the centerline of the shifter body not off to the side like the stock and other shifter designs do., this eliminates the 3rd gear lockout problem so many people have *****ed about.

4. looking at the detail of the shaft you will see that it actually clamps the rod and center shaft indepedently. this allows the shift rod to slide up and down for height and also swivel 180 degress to adjust location in relation to the console. so guys with gorilla arms and short legs will love this feature becasue you can actually swivel the handle all the way up to 12 o'clock close to the dash if the stock position is too close to you.

5. the ENTIRE body is machined from aircraft grade alum. and 303 stainless steel. EVERY aluminum part is HARD coat anodized NOT just decorative type 2 black. it will hold up for a looooonnnggggg time. also, every bolt that has a stress rating is not stainless but rather grade 8 steel that is "ARMOR COATED" which is a new coating that gives the same durability for corrosion as stainless but allows you to use a much higher rating of bolt.

6. if you notice the end of the shifter that attaches to the tranny you will see that on BOTH sides of the mount are stainless steel flanged bushings for better strength when attaching to the tranny.

7. none of the parts on this shifter are urethane as this is a poor choice for noise and vibration issues. CAN YOU SAY "squeak squeak".

8. there are currently 3 utIlity patents pending on this shifter. 2 of them are the same patents that cover our older model shifter. the new patent is to protect the unique feature of the shifter that allows the throw to be adjusted.

george

actually the shifter is designed to break down and install in 2 sections and it is VERY easy to do. i can actually install one in about 10 minutes now.
