I've received the resonators, but I cant decide if I want to cut the cats from stock H and put em there, or chop my Pypes x and use them there instead...

Does it fit into the X pipe? I checked it out and I will have to put it after the H.

I made a test to see what kind of restriction the stock cats where about. Well I put 30 psi from the compressor nozzle into an empty 2.5" pipe, it flows right trough. To give you an idea of 30 psi; if I would be to blow at you five feet away you would feel the blow enough you'd think you're into a convertible. After I tryied into the stock pipe and I blocked off the O2 holes, well what came out is equivalent to what I can blow into a straw! I could not believe it! No wonder that with the stock cats on there is no trumpet, the flow is complitely block off! I think it's like putting steel whoole into the pipe and hope it flows.

Talking

Trumpets are gone, gone, gone!!
Well I finally had a chance to put the resonators on and the trumpets are gone. I have the borla's stingers and with the new resonators it sounds so beautiful and still very loud! The raspiness is gone. That famous sound that is bothering some of you and me is gone. I think it's sound sort of like the cobra's with the off road pipe and the Borla's. For what I am concern I am very happy with the sound. It use to embarrassing to drive around into the 2800 rpm range but no more. My wife use to hate the little tinny sounds but now she says it really sound good. I have to go now I want to go driving some more!

I wound up putting the resonators before the axle. Because it would of been a big job to put it into the H pipe. Attach to the H you might ask, well right after; my H was to narrow I could not fit the two of them side by side. So I had to go further down. So anyway my setup is no exactly like the one from alternatives auto but it seems to work real good.

Glad it worked out for you. Did you get any noticable reduction in volume along with the trumpet negation?

So you're saying you hacked up your cat-back pipes to install the resonators? I did the exact same thing running an off road x with the Flowies a while ago and it sounded like pooh. I don't know if I want to go back down that road again with my off road h and FRPP stingers.

The drone is 90% gone. It's a bit wierd at first because it's still loud in the back but inside the noise is greatly reduce.

Well it's pretty much as loud as it was but the high pitch raspy sounds are gone so your left with just the deeper rumble. To give you an idea Dynomax says it can reduce sound from 2-4db. Now the neighbors are no longer mad and laughing their just mad!

Well depending what type of sound you want the resonator will had a deeper rumble to your system. About a week ago I saw a really nice cobra driving by with the deep loud sound I was looking for; well now I got the same thing.
