How touchy is the throttle for the manual on the GT. Does it rev quickly with light taps?
Too touchy would mean more revvy when taking off, rather than a flush takoff.

I think mine could be more responsive. I am having my SCT flash correct the lag in the throttle by wire feature.

I wish the RMs would fall off faster when you hit the clutch. Also, just as you push in the clutch, the car revs up a couple hundred rpm before starting to fall.

I agree. Feels almost like a light flywheel, except that the revs seem to linger off the gas. I'm getting used to it.

Mine does that too. I thought that was my fault, just keeping the gas on too long when pushing the clutch in.

But yes it can be touchy. I rested my foot on the gas sometimes when I am stopped, and I hear the engines start to rev up (slightly). Guess I have more lead in my foot than I realize.

So you guys probably had revvy starts when you guys got them right? I'm sure you guys are used to it so your foot has reached an ultra senstitve touch to the point it doesnt over rev on normal takoffs.

an off road h-pipe (w/out cats) will help solve your down revving slowness
and also increase throttle response some

I think it's like any throttle and clutch, you just have to get the feel of it. It's easier to drive then some other manuals I have driven.

That's a beautiful Fox
I love touchy accelerators, maybe because the manual's i've driven have loose accelerator pedals and I love the tightness.

I don't think so. This is programmed in. Just like the carburetors had in the 70's, a device to keep the throttle from closing too quickly, rich causes momentary over-rich conditions that lead to unburned hydrocarbons.

I know a tuner who is working on a tune that will allow for fast idle drop.

I agree, it is really easy to drive. I am teaching my wife how to drive a manual. And this car is way easier than my '96 Mustang Manual. It also jumps less if you stall out. Less intimidating to a new learner.
