Yeah, 287 at the crank for all models and years except the 2005 Track and 35th anniversary model. Nah, each model just has different options, Base doesn't have LSD or HID or cruise control, so i'm planning on getting the Enthusiast which does (if I get a 350Z).

I'd be curious to see Brad's reaction to a chat room. I'm sure it would be a lot of work to set it up. And it would have to be setup using a java applet. We'd probably all have to make a $5 donation again to pay for the thing. But, I'd be up for it.

Nis I have a friend who's wife just bought the 350 same color combo as my GT and it is sharp..side by side it is pretty amazing how similar these two cars are (in size and shape at least)....my thoughts are the 350 appears more refined and smoother - while the Stang is a bit more raw but more fun "seat of the pants" kind of driving - really boils down to what you are looking for I guess....post your impressions once you do test drive both - too bad you are so far away - I'd let test drive my 5-speed with mods...

Cool. I agree, it seems like the 05 Stang has some design similarities to the Z, and I definitely agree the Stang has a much meaner/rawer look than the Z. I've driven both before... in the fall/winter last year... I loved the Stang...I just need to do it again and get a good drive with both of them to see what I like better. The only thing i'm worried about, is regretting the car I get...the last thing I want to do is regret my purchase every time I see the car I didn't choose. Thanks...that would be cool...
One of the main things I like about the new Stang is the similarity to the first gen.'s, the first car I ever wanted and serious about getting was a first gen...
I think as soon as I get done driving both of them...i'll know.
