I have had my SLPs on for only a week now. I must admit, I do not like how loud they are on start up. Other than that, I think they sound pretty good.
My friend said it best the other day. He said it sounds like the old General Lee from the Dukes of Hazard.
Oh and YOU DO NOT NEED A TUNE FOR AN AXEL BACK KIT!

Well Mike-
You are not alone. A lot of people (my friends and some family) like the way the Magnapaks sounded better too. Not that they were more mellow but the fact that they had a deeper growl.
Go figure-

Great video. I like the Magnapaks for the same reason.

Thanks everyone for the great responses. After having the SLP's for about a week now...I must say I love the SLP's. They have very little drone compared to the Magnapaks and they are not as loud as you would think.
I am a business executive, so having an obnoxious exhaust system is not a good idea (however I really like the WOW effect on everyone when I open it up).
The SLP's are perfect. They have a nice sound and truly let the mustang sound the way it should. Even at idle they sound nice, you can hear the V-8 engine just rumbling. For example, crusing through the gas station parking lot attract attention because people can hear the rumble.
The best part is, when you want to let them to scream, hammer the pedal and they sound GREAT.
For the price and the sound SLP's can't be beat.
I will probably go with a x-pipe and the Magnaflow's later. We'll see...
