I just installed magnapacks tonight on my 05 GT and everything went well. As it turns out, the stock exhaust was harder to get off than the Magnapacks were to get on. The biggest pain was to take off the stock cat back pipes. It took some fancy twisting to get the pipes out since I didn't have access to a lift. The new pipes went in easy though. Magnaflow eliminated some of the bends which makes for good exhaust flow and easy installation. The "mufflers", if you could call them that, went on easy They were very close to fitting perfect on the first try but I did have to bend the hangers a bit to get them to center perfectly. No big deal.

Now let me tell you when I started the car up I thought I was going to pass out. They sound amazing. Went for a short ride and there are minimal performance gains. I did notice the famous drone at 2000 RPM but it's not as bad as everyone has made it out to be. All in all, it was well worth it.

If you want pictures and a video just go to www.mymustangpage.com and look in the videos section. They captured the sound the best it could be without professional video equipment.

Just let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the review. How much louder than stock are these? They are supposed to be a good bit louder than the Magnaflows, which seem to be a little too quiet.

I just saw that thread with the video. It captures the sound pretty well.
The magnapacks are a good bit louder than stock. With that said, its not way to loud by any means. They are great. Idle is just a bit louder than stock but it is deeper and grumbles more and WOT is a LOT louder but not overbearing. Its is just right for me.
If you are thinking about getting these and are leary because you think they will be over the top loud don't worry, they are just right. Remember there is a bit of drone in there at 2000 RPM but its really not to bad.
If you just want a little deaper tone and a little more volume, go with the regular magnaflows. I have heard those as well and they sound good. It's all just personal preference.

Wait until you put some miles on them and see how loud they get. Mine are a heck of a lot louder now, after 6,000+ miles on them. Neighbours didn't say anything when I first put them on, now they are starting to complain. A neighbour 3 doors down complains when I start my car in the morning. All the windows in the house are shut and all they car hear is my car

Well, after driving with the Magnapacks for a few days I am noticing a pretty nasty drone at 2000 rpm. Its not the worst thing ever but it is annoying. I ordered some dynamat for the trunk to see if that helps. What do you guys think? Thanks.

Oh, and other than that they are great!

I can't see dynomat helping since the noise actually resonates throughout the vehicle. Dynomat helps to remove vibration, not resonation and what you hear is resonation.
