Magnapack installed
I installed my magnapacks lasts night, well at least the axlebacks. I am using the stock H-pipe for now. I might install the midpipe this weekend. With out a lift, install was somewhat a PITA. Since I couldn't loosen the midpipe, getting the axlebacks on was a hassle. The sound is awesome.
Deeper and throater than my JBAs but I don't think the magnapacks are as load, but that may because they are not broken in yet. Drone/resonance is not as bad as I thought. My Flow 40series was worse.

I have lt's, an offroad H, and 2.5 inch magnapacks, and I couldn't agree more. They sound great, and surprisingly, for a strait through design are relatively quiet.
Have fun!

Glad to hear you like them so much.
The JBA's were louder in this test:

I don't recommend the Magnapacks with FRPP shorty headers.....WAY too much resonance @ around 2500rpms IMO. I sold them to my buddy with stock manifolds and they sound great.

I had the magnapaks and you will find that they won't get much louder as you put more miles on them. Which is why I went with FRPP. The magnapaks just didn't have a deep enough tone. However, they sure do look nice.

I got around to installing the cat-back portion and re-installing the axlebacks. Not to sure if it made that much of a difference in sound, but fitment was no problem. Install took about an hour or so. I will try to post a vid as soon as I can find the cable that connects the camera to the PC

I think the maganpacks have a deep tone compared to my JBAs and 40 series flows.

I know on stock S197s catback systems are supposed to give minimal hp/tq gains, but my car does feel more responsive, especially in the lower RPM ranges. Could be a placebo effect.

Well take into account backpressure - when I changed my midpipe from stock, I could tell the difference down low from when I had my Corsas on (straight throughs) to a chambered unit (Hooker aerochambers) - the car had a bit more ooomph down low with the Hookers as oppsoed to the Corsas

I have read about the back pressure effect but never paid much attention to it. But I believe that the car does accelerate faster because of the back pressure.

Like I said before the videos are just examples,I was holding the camera and trying to shift gears,so I didn't get on it to really be able to hear how loud it really is,plus it sounds alot different after the Higgings tune.
