Anyone have the stainless Magnaflow O/R x pipe with their setup? Just ordered mine..should be here by wednesday next week. Ill get it on and post up some sound clips [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumb.gif[/img]

I get my Magnaflow x-pipe installed tomorrow AM. I already have Magnaflow cat-back on now. Looks like you can't replace the cats and stay street legal / emmissions legal. I didn't notice a big sound change (except when in too high of a gear at under 2000 rpm ... like when I am passing on the express way and too lazy to downshift to 4). I wasn't looking for a big sound change, tho ... I wanted a) stainless so it's a forever system; b ) more hp (and I did get that I feel); c) looks (the chrome tails and stainless mufflers look so cool; d) mpg increase (who knows b/c i drive like a bat out of heck). Think I am in the minority changing out exhaust parts but not wanting big sound ...

I got a question I'm just wanting a little more rumble in my exhaust? Don't want to change the magnaflow that came on mine, just want to open it up a little. Latley mine has been making a trumpet noise every once in a while, thinking about the magnaflow w/ hi-flow cats. I know it wont change the sound much but a least it will lighten the car a tad. Also will changing headers change the tone in the exhaust?

OK ... just got back from getting the Magnaflow x - pipe installed. It's WAY COOL. The x has elimintated that <blub blub> noise when you take your foot off the gas after an accelleration. IT feels much smoother. Also, I get mor pick-up at lowere rpm's in 5th, for example. I am very very pleased. I got to watch the install (yea, I should have tried it myself) and it was pretty clean. They had to cut the pipes coming out of the cats to remove the h. It was a very tight fit. As for sound, again, I am pleased with a more stealthy feel ... I don't think that's the popular opinion tho. WAY COOL. ZOOOOOOOOM !
