Well, I finally got around to hitting the track yesterday. ..Met up with some friends from lonestarstangs.com and we hit Fun Ford Weekend out in Baytown....One of my bud's Jason was running his 10 sec LX coupe and I had him make a few passes in mine while I videotaped it....He had never driven the car and wasn't used to an auto but I was still pretty pleased with the runs....Ran the regular street tires on it and it's had NO suspension work at all to this point....Only able to make two wet passes as it started to rain, but the best was a 13.6 at 102mph...I figure with more practice, some suspension work, and drag radials it'll make 13 flat or high 12's. ....at least I have a baseline now so I'll know what the supercharger and tires really get me when the time comes....hope to have a s/c by the end of the year or first of next year.....I'll run it some more this summer and see what I can get it down to....60 ft. time was 2.0 for those curious and temp. was about 80 degrees.....

Nice times for mostly stock trim and first time to the strip. Sweet pics. Your car looks great with that painted hood and those wheels.

Thanks Mike and Derek! It would have run better with me behind the wheel as he has a 5 speed '03 Cobra as a daily driver and had never driven mine at all. I just wanted to make sure I got a good video so I ran the camera....He ran a 14.2 his first run and shaved it to a 13.6 his second....I expected it would get shaved down again and so did he as he got comfortable with it, but the rain started just before the 13.6 run and it kept us from getting a 3rd shot at it....I fully expect that it'll run 13.0-13.2 or better with some drag radials and some more practice with just the current mods...Most of the guys running those times have 5 speeds, long tubes, CMP's, etc. so I am surely not complaining at how it did....I expect I'll be into the 12's without NOS or a supercharger very soon, and then it's on to adding the blower and heading for the 11's....WOOT!
John
P.S. Impressive 12.9 ya put up Derek!!! Ya have any video of it? I'd love to check it out bro...

I saw it up close before it hit the track as their space was only 2 over from ours Mike...It had a small white faced psi gauge under the hood on the top right side of the motor and I was told by another racer that it was on the juice...only other mods I could visibly see were a heat shield around a larger CAI, and some exhaust tips that didn't look factory...May have had a SCT tune as their was SCT stuff all over their booth...best info I can give bro...

Hey John, think you could get her to show up at HPE next time we go?
We might get more of a turnout. LOL
Almost forgot.
Let me know next time you go to the track. It would be fun to run our cars together since they have similar mods.

Definitely an automatic. Check out the picture of the chick sitting in the Mustang. You can see the auto selector in the background.
Awesome pics, John!!

Hey Swingle, GREAT CAR! I have some ideas for my redfire GT and that definately gave me some good ideas. The blacked out hood looks killer on our color. I haven't decided on chin spoiler just yet, maybe a CDC along with a Street Scene ducktail. Thos rims complement the look of your car very well. Job well done.
BTW: How much was it to black-out the hood?
