I was too (not off road, but with cats) but could only find SN95's with them on. I decided on Stainless Works X-pipe instead.
Still curious to see what it sounds like. Post a clip if you can but definitely do a write up and make note of other's comments about how far away they can hear ya comin'!!

Well if you have the bassani axle backs, why not go with there xpipe/comp cats. I have a set on the way.

I'm also doing SW's long tube headers (w/high flow cats) and Bassani's xpipe/comp cats wouldn't let me do that. With MAC, I was considering the Pro Chamber with CATs to their long tube headers.

I was also thinking about purchasing the MAC Prochamber that bolts to stock cats because I believe it would still pass emissions in CA while giving me some HP boost. Am I correct or would it not pass?
-Thanks in advance!

Here's another option: Hooker Jet-Hot Coated X-pipe for $390
[attachmentid=23442]
They state off-road but they also say that you can remove the extension tubes and re-install the factory catyltic convertors which implies you can install the x-pipe without touching the factory cats to begin with...

I'm just waiting on my MAC pro chamber to get in. I'll try to post soundclips of it with stock mufflers and then with the SLP loudmouth's I purchased with it.

Eric, sounds good. Can't wait to hear the Pro Chamber.

Edit: What kind did you get? The off-road?

If it bolts to the stock cats, it's just a matter of you taking off the stock h-pipe and bolting it up. You need to either jack the front of the car up or drive the front wheels onto some ramps (if you have them). It should only take you 30-45 minutes with your basic socket wrench set. Good luck!

The cats are welded into the h-pipe. So either A. it mates up the the manifold or B. you have to cut and weld it into place.

It will be a little more involved than that. It does not "bolt: to the stock cats, seeing as the cats are welded in. You will need a saws-all to cut the stock pipe in the correct place, and then slip the ProChamber over that pipe, and clamp it down. I didn't want to go this route due to the cutting of the stock pipe thing. Good luck.

I emailed MACperformance they said it's a bolt on piece. Well I guess it is but it does require cutting the exhaust behind the cats. I don't have the tools to do that so unfortunatley I have to have them put on by a shop. That'll be another week's wait. I did however get my loudmouths in and put them on in less than an hour. No jack stands needed and only two wrenches required. I'm very happy with them they have the sound I was looking for. Nice rumble that can be loud when you want it to be or quiet when you don't want unwanted attention.

My bad. I totally forgot that, and I have even taken my cats/h-pipe off. Forgive me... it's still early in the morning. But yes, the cats and the h-pipe ar one piece. The Pro-Chamber didn't come with instructions? I hope at least it came with all the clamps you need.

I think you'd save money by just going and getting a sawsall from Home Depot. You'll pay as much to get that than you will to have a shop do it, and you'll have a sawsall when you're all done. It's one of those tools, like a drill, that every man should have. Now, if you want to save even more money, go to Home Depot and buy a sawsall and get a seperate metal-cutting blade for it (on a seperate receipt). When you are all done cutting your pipes, throw the blade away and bring the sawsall back with the unused blades that it came with. Get your money back, and you'll spend just a couple bucks (for the blade) to install your own Pro Chamber.

I like the way you think. I've actually done that before using a tool once only to take it back lol. I decided to go ahead and let the shop do it because I got no instructions or clamps with my pipe just the pipe in a box nothing else. The sound clip will have to wait about a week.
and why does it say v6 member where an avitar goes?

Do you know how to put a picture avatar there? If not, go to My Controls" and then "Edit Avatar Settings" to upload a picture that will show up as your avatar.
