Just bought a set of MAC longtube headers on eBay. I am not sure which direction to go on a mid pipe. Do any of you guys own the MAC longtubes? If so, what are you running mid pipe wise?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If emission test isint a concern, do what I did,get rid of the cats, turn off the sensors with a sct programmer, get the muffler shop to bend a set of tubes to fit from the headers to the stock h-pipe,sound is awsome with magnaflow mufflers and with a straight pipe it sounds like a pure muscle car (60 bucks) with that setup

I agree. Cats are bs. Best and cheapest way IMO.

Thanks for the information guys. I will look at both choices. I like the price tag of the stock H-pipe and the cat removal but the sound of the pro chamber is really nice.

If you don't want it to be LOUD, you may not want to go O/R H. I dig it, but your car will sound like it just warped in from 1969 lol

I changed my mid pipe to an x-pipe,wich I got custom made($40) and they sound more agressive then h-pipe and are a bit louder on idle,I wouldnt go back to h-pipe on this car,and its just and easy route you can go to and they sound perfect

I don't have headers, but I did lots of research when I bought my mid pipe. The prochambers sound nice, but they're so quiet and muffled, even the off road ones, the h pipes sound pretty good, but not as aggressive as I wanted, so I went with an off road x pipe, and it sounds awesome, even with the factory axle backs.

I'm running MAC long tubes, off road prochamber and MAC SS axle backs. There's no better sounding exhaust. I had an X pipe and it was so incredibly raspy. It popped a lot and just was obscenely loud. The prochamber has the perfect sound to it. Very nice deep muscle car sound.

The off road H would be my next choice, but that's just my opinion. That X is just too raspy with LT's.

Have the MAC long (mid, really) tubes, prochamber, and Roush extreme cat back (basically a big mid-car resonator) without mufflers, with Magnaflow high-flow cats, and sounds amazing. Can trundle around under 3000rpm with barely above stock growl, but over 3000rpm it rips and sounds as good as a Boss, I think. They did move the powerband up, though, so loss of torque at low rpms, but plan on getting some 3.73 gears next year to help this.
