I would guess that it would sound incredible!! I have heard good things about Kooks, JBA, Stainless Works and Hooker. You might do a search on those brands to see other threads about them. Personally, I was very interested in Hookers, but I'm looking for a matched catted X/H-pipe and they don't offer one. So now I'm leaning towards the SW. I'll pull the trigger on a purchase of something in the next week or so.

I have the Long Tube JBA's and Non-catted H pipe with Flowmasters. I really like the set up. It is loud. What ever muffler set up you run will be loud. Great power.

Don isnt the SW 3"...would that match up to the borla's? I thought those were 2.5?

Firedude is that the JBA catless H or the stock with cats cut off?

I am looking to go LT, catlessH or X, and the FRPP borla look alikes

You cannot use the stock H-Pipe with the JBA Longtube Headers.
This is due to the spacing of the collectors being too far apart.
The JBA Offroad H-Pipe costs $170.00 on Ebay.

I went with the catted H-Pipe and stock mufflers myself and the sound is awesome.
Some people find that it's a little too raspy with the catless H-Pipe.

I think I'm narrowing down my choice to the Dynatech setup.

I have the non-catted JBA H pipe(175.00 to my door from Summit). Very easy install. If you do not have to worry about smog check I would go that route. Most all performance tunes shut off the rear o2 sensors anyway. Headers are very nice quality.

I have the JBA longtubes, no cat H-pipe and Borlas. Sounds great, but if I had to do it again I would get magnaflows or flowmasters. As the air flows through the borlas I here a clicking sound. I think its because of so much airflow through a tiny muffler. My guess is a bigger muffler will eliminate that.

What borlas do you have...isnt there two? That is a setup I was looking at...LT of some flavor with a off road x/h and the FRPP borla look alikes.

I would have to say that the only 05's making good times with LT's around here are JBA and Kook's cars. I have to give it to JBA, a great product, great company with a real down to earth owner/CEO. Our car sounded great and actually it is the part I loved the most about it. So sad to see them go.

My personal experience directly with JBA (located here in San Diego) has been less impressive. Six months ago, I was planning on getting JBA involved in many aspects of my car. Now, I actively seek other alternatives. I have a bit of a sour taste.

And David has been running the SW headers and I would say he's done pretty well.

The SW headers come with an adapter to mate up the 3" collector/mid-pipe with the 2.5" exhaust.

This is the kind of stuff that I listen to the most. I TOTALLY understand having a sour taste left in your mouth, mine personally with KB. As for the JBA I don't own them anymore, only axle backs and I would consider changing. PM me if you don't mind with your personal experience as I would take this into consideration for further purchases.
Thanks,
Derek

I've posted about my experience with JBA in public forums before, so I'll just do it again here.

About 5 months ago, I was looking to get a baseline dyno pull done and then have another done with my C&L CAI/Predator tune. I also wanted to get the 4.10s installed. So I scheduled both at JBA. The night before, I put the stock air inlet back on and reflashed the car to factory. The next morning, JBA did a baseline pull. Then I reinstalled the C&L, and they did another. After I got the dyno sheets, I noticed that the numbers (+13 rwhp and +45rwtq) looked way off, and that the rpm and mph looked funny as well. So I asked them if they did the pull in 4th gear or 3rd (auto tranny). After talking to the dyno tech (for what seemed like 1/2-hour) they finally figured out that it was done in 3rd gear (which I already knew based on the rpm vs. mph chart!). I asked them why they didn't do it in 4th. After another lengthy "consultation", they eventually told me they couldn't lock it out in 4th. It bothered me that: (1) they couldn't do it in a 1:1 gear, (2) they didn't even seem to know it until I told them about it, (3) they didn't offer to charge me less, and (4) they didn't seem to really care that I was unhappy. Bottom line... they didn't instill a lot of confidence in me of their knowledge/abilities.

Even after that, I decided to go ahead and leave the car there, and let them do the gear swap for me that same day. Fortunately, that turned out very well. I'm satisified with that at least.

But, I'm in no hurry to go back there anytime soon.

That explains a little at least. I know that the speed shop is a contracted portion of the JBA company, recently they have undergone some changes such as location and have had some difficulty with techs, so I have been told. I do all the work myself except for gears and I leave that to a rearend place. As for the dyno I go to a guy that is like Chewbacca, he knows how to dyno a car but that is IT, I tune it with the help of phone/internet from a tuner in another state. If I were to go to the JBA shop I probably would only have something like headers intalled or a bolt on part, if I didn't want to do it myself. Thanks for the reply, hope the gears keep working!

There is a lengthy thread around here all about exhaust with a lot of sound clips. The SW are very nice and come with adapters to go from 3" to the stock/2.5" exhaust. I really hated to take them off. I loved the sound of them. No Drone at all! Everyone that has seen them that knows headers say they are put together really nicely!

yes I sold them already! My spare parts aren't lasting too long and I really haven't advertised them too much. I still have some Steeda motor mounts!
