Have any of you done this yourself? You need a spring compressor? Can you kick the springs out? How long does it take? My springs should be here in a day or 2, so I'm just trying to prepare.

Very simple - jack stands under the rear subframes, support pumpkin with floor jack. Remove both lower shock bolts, slowly lower the jack, reach up and pull the springs out. Insert new springs and raise the jack to allow re-insertion of the lower shock bolts. Rear is done.

Front - Jackk stands under the front of the subframes, floor jack supporting the spindle assembly. Remove the 2 lower bolts on the spindle, disconnect the brake line holder, use a small socket to hold the bolt of the upper ball joint, and a wrench for the nut and remove it. Remove the four top bolts (engine compartment), and slide the entire assembly out. Use a spring compressor to compress the spring so you can remove the strut bearing. Once it's off, pull the spring out, put the new one in and make sure it's fully seated, and tighten the bolt for the bearing. Reverse the process to install. Put a block of wood under one of your front tires, other wise you won't get the floor jack out from underneath the car when you remove the jackstands It took a buddy and me 3hrs from start to finish and we'd never done it to an 05 before. Adrenalin's instructions helped a lot

It wasn't even necessary for me to remove the shock bolts at all in the rear for the rear to come down enough. Just take the body up high enough, and lower the rear down, and you can just pull the springs right out. It only took me about 15 minutes to do the rear.

So if you didn't remove the bolts, what was holding the spring once the car was lifted up? (I'm mechanically stupid)

I ask because I'm doing this at a friend's house and he has a lift so we can lift the car up as high as we need to.

Also, how do I know what which way to turn the springs when I install them? Just rotate them to the same position as the old ones?

From the write up I read on making this change it appears the rears are held in by the preasure of the chassis on top of them. When the rear-end is lowered it allows the spring to be pulled out.

I replaced my rear springs a few weeks ago. There was no way I could get the stock springs out without disconnecting the rear swaybar upper mounts, the shock lower mounts and the brake line to chassis mount. Once those were disconnected, then I could tilt the rear axle sideways enough to get the stockers out. There's nothing mechanical that holds the springs in.

Ok, so the rear spring pdf file says the springs are coded to the car and the info is on the door plate. According to mine, I have FFCC. I've got a manual tranny GT. What do others have for spring codes?

FFBB here. Manual tranny 05 Stage 1 ROUSH

Wouldnt changing the rears only require an adjustable panhard rod? just curious...

Word I got from another source says that the rear springs on the Vert are harder due to additional stiffening...

I think it depends on if the rear axle is really out of center to start with. Apparently some are and some aren't. I lowered the rear of mine about 1" and using a weighted string dropped down from the fender, the bulge of the tire shows about a 1/8" shift to the drivers side. I still have the factory panhard bar.

Just lowered my rear tonight. Dropped 1 1/6". The rear end of mine was off center 3/4" from the factory. The dealership got it down to 1/2" and lowering it got down to less than 1/4". That's close enough for me. It still has the stock panhard bar.

Yes - 28¼ inches from ground to fender with about 2 inches of gap between wheel and fender front and rear.
