Low vacuum SC bypass valve for Saleen series VI supercharger

My tuner is telling me that since I have aftermarket cams, that I need a bypass valve with a lighter spring to compensate for lower vacuum. Anyone know of one that would fit a Saleen series VI supercharger?

I think Saleen is still in business, with new ownership; not sure what is their situation, but did you check with them?

Try VMP Performance. They have the L&M low vacuum bypass actuator and have a lot of experience in the S/C arena.

That’s the one I was looking at. Not sure if it will fit my Saleen supercharger.

I own the very same Saleen VI supercharger as the OP.. Unfortunately, the Saleen series VI models were discontinued in 2010 under the previous ownership.. Needless to say, I had attempted on numerous occasions to seek support from the current ownership group and came up empty, as none of the tech support reps familiar with the series VI models left Saleen during the last bankruptcy..

OP! I also have the very same Saleen series VI supercharger as you have. The folks over at JDM engineering are the best source remaining when it comes to the Saleen series VI superchargers.. They used to be an official Saleen distribution center who did most of their custom tuning for the series VI superchargers before Saleen filed for bankruptcy in 2010.. Needless to say, I've been running a JDM/Saleen custom e-mail tune for my "06" GT for years and have been nothing but very pleased with it..

If interested? I strongly recommend that you contact them and ask for Jim Jr. He'll provide you with the support your searching for along with the correct bypass valve designed to properly fit your Saleen series VI supercharger.. I've also went ahead and attached a web link for JDM engineering below.. Meanwhile, wish you the very best of luck

You'll need to call their Sales and Support to verify fitment. Basically, the Saleen Series VI supercharger is a standard 2.3L Lysholm that Saleen flipped upside down and wrapped an enclosure to get the longer intake runners. I don't think there's anything particularly special about the vacuum bypass actuator that hasn't already been addressed by pros like VMP.
