My car makes a very bad clunking sound when I hit little bumps at slow speed. It is not the "pop" that some of you have talked about while turning the wheel. This only happens when I hit a bump at 25 mph and slower. It feels like the top nut on my strut is loose or something. I can hear it and feel it. Any comments?

go grab a 10mm socket, and a 21mm end wrench and check the strut end bolt for torque.

also tighten the 4 strut tower bolts (13mm socket)

just to be sure.

maybe take it to the dealer?

Yes, I am taking to the dealer. Just wondered if there was something I could check before I let all the monkeys at the dealership play with my new car. Its just very annoying, thud, thud, thud on little bumps. Jumped in the 03 cobra today and the cobra feels like it was built in the 1960's, this 05 is PERFECT except for this nagging knock or thud on slow bumps. :bang:

you own an 03 cobra and a 05.... lucky guy... there are plenty of threads debating which is a better buy.... I agree with you that the chassis on the 05 makes it well worth it despite the lack of supercharger
