If you're using the U7140 Predator, then update it with the version r37 .crom file. It contains a Steeda tune.

Isn't it a C&L tune?

If you have the U7140 - Update to r37 then follow these instructions

Diablosport

OEM Select instructions for U7140/U7145

Your new Predator for the 05-newer Mustang now includes multiple tunes designed to support the addition of an aftermarket cold air intake on your GT or V6 Mustang.
To access these tunes, follow these steps as outlined below.

1.Power the Predator up.
2.Once the tool is fully booted up, select ‘options’ from the main menu.
3.Use the arrow keys to go up once, you will see ‘OEM select’. Press enter here.
4.You will now see a list of supported cold air intake manufacturers. Select from this list the CAI you have on your car. (NOTE: If the cold air intake you have is not listed here, then you may need a custom tune to allow it to function properly.)
5.Once you have selected the appropriate manufacturer for your cold air intake, you will see a message on the Predator that reads:
”These tunes are designed by Diablosport using the XXXXX induction products”
6.The tool will offer you the option to ‘choose’ or ‘cancel’. Select choose for the induction setup you wish to use. The tool will then display the following message:
“Performance menu will now contain tunes pertaining to XXX (whichever manufacturer you chose will be displayed here).
7.Choose ‘continue’. This will take you back to the Options menu. Press escape or the left arrow button to get back to the main menu.
8.You may now install the tune. The menu containing the available tunes will now be set up for use with your specific CAI. (Example: If you chose C&L Performance, the tunes displayed will be C&L tunes. Choose the appropriate tune for your application and intended use.)
9. Follow the instructions in your owners manual to install the tune.

Do you have the 80mm Steeda CAI? It was their first CAI for the 05. Now they are 90mm. The 80mm is what I have and kept getting check engine lights when installing the predator tune for the 90mm Steeda CAI. I have the file that Gus from Steeda sent me, he said it had all of their tunes, the one for the 80mm is actually 85mm.

My calid is: fbhr2g4.

The support people at Diablosport are bad. After paying for the Predator, that was supposed to include the Steeda tune, they actually wanted to charge me to get the older tune I needed. The people at Steeda are extremely helpful.

Send me a message if you want me to send you the one I have, it may work.

Ernie

True I just updated my predator firmware yeaterday. Pretty slick.
It contains several tunes:
C&L
JLT
Steeda
Procharger

I cant remember the other one.

I dont use it anymore, it just kinda lays around in its box.

thanks for all the replies! I updated the predator to r37 and loaded the steeda tune, but the car would not start. i then reset to the canned diablosport tune and loaded the 93 octane tune adding 5 points of fuel to account for the CAI and it is working fine. I had originally dynoed with a steeda tune and had it all set for the right air fuel and timing for optimal power but no dice starting with the steeda tune. any ideas?
