Those are the header's I got. I also ordered them fom AJ-USA. There a good company and had fast shipping. They have come down in price, I paid 800 dollar's 6 month's ago....still a far cry from the rediculous retail price...

Can you get them for less than $800 now? And if so, where at?

WHY????
The stock system is very unrestrictive .Kenne Bell says there is no benefit to changing it, even with a blower.

Are headers just a habit?

Long tube headers will get you more HP. And it will give you a deeper growl.

[attachmentid=19702] The only habit I have here is spending money on this Freakin monster I've created. I'm really not into spending senseless money. Proof is in the pudding. Here's a dyno sheet for ya. Green-2 month old dyno run. Red-baseline pull for the day with new mods-headers, full exhaust, 4.30 gears. Blue-charge motion plates added. I do agree, the stock exhaust does flow great, but longtubes will open it up even more. Then again, we could always revert to the conspiracy theory that all the tuners are holding back on their tunes just to sell aftermarket parts and show gains for each one.

 Ok...headers give you 20 hp for $800. Bang for the buck is $40 per hp.
Let's say you put on a Pro-charger or Kenne Bell for $5000 installed.

The K-B puts you at 600+ at the flywheel. $16 and change per hp. It's a better deal if you can "pony" up the 5 large . You'll probably finally have a fast enough car unless you are truly sick. I'd rather do that than buy $8000 worth of vinyl and badges from Roush.

I'll exchange the sound of headers for the look on the face of the vette owner I just blew away.

In the last 7 months, there hasn't been any chargers to buy. Actually, I don't know of anyone that has actually received one yet, unless your a shop testing them for the manuf. I really prefer N/A anyhow. IF I ever decide to go to a charger, atlest I'll have the exhaust already to allow it to breath better. Above all else, I'm not comfortable with the bottom end on these cars yet. Time will tell what they will be able to really handle in the duration. I really am not interested in installing a blower then come to find out, along with the others that have them, that the bottom end is toast and that it can't handle that kind of power for whatever amount of time. I'd prefer to build out the bottom end and make it right before a blower. I didn't know that $40 per hp is the standard bang for the buck. I'd rather spend the more per hp now than "5 large" then a potentially another 10 large to make the bottom right...after it's blown. I'm not much in to uncertainty. I did go with the 3" exhaust, just for the reason that I may go with a blower, down the road.

Kenne Bell also said to jump off a cliff J/K It's not just about restrictrion. Today's header's (Good one's) are tuned like a musical instrument. They help to actually pull exhaust out of the cylinder's by working together (tube length's/potition etc.). Optimizing the intake and exhaust is the first step in high performance. It will help in everything else you do...

I went to San Diego myself and visited JBA. I visited family out there and wanted to see why they were so expensive. That is when I was informed by a JBA employee that one of their largest vendors was selling their standard stainless steel full length headers for $575.00 and the off road H-pipe for $250.00. That is what I paid and they even drop-shipped them from JBA for free. I purchased them from truckperformance.com. They now list for $797.00 but I called a representative and they will negotiate at times. 1-800-335-1255, ask for Chablis, she is the rep that helped me save some bucks.

P.S. Kenne Bell has an awesome product, but you can't trust anything they say to you. If they prove it and I see it in person, I might believe it. You don't even want to know how inappropriately their owner treated a potential customer.

That bit about K-B could be right. The web site has some rather pointed statements.
Last week on ebay some poor shlub was selling his V10 with a K-B blower on it that melted the valves(he thought) in the 4-5-6 cylinders.I'd like to hear that story!! It went for $1800 ,I think.
