Looking to get exhaust, but don't know what.
As of right now, I have a stock automatic GT. When I got the Stang, I wasn't really thinking about putting new exhaust on it, because as is, it already sounds pretty good. But so don't all the other GT's on the street.
Which is why I'd like mine to stand out just a little bit more. I'm looking for something to be maybe a little deeper. But I don't want to by someone who has the really annoying exhaust. Also would like something that I could do at my home with ramps and regular tools. I don't have anything to cut metal with, or much of any mechanic skills. But I can follow directions.
Someone had suggested getting the Ford Performance exhaust. And someone else said it wasn't much of a difference for the money. And they suggested getting Borla(is that right) Stingers. And another place suggested getting a mid-muffler system or Boom Tubes. To me, Boom tubes don't sound like they would be very subtle.
Thanks

Do you have any other future plans for mods? Like a turbo? If so I would hold off on the headers and just go with different mufflers. If not get some headers. Check out the thread named I think I have found the perfect exhaust.

I like my corsa's throaty with no drone, they just bolt on in about an hour.
Vidoe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVI1D6AzzBg Watch it in high quality the sound is better.

That's pretty much what I did (no shaker, but they are more appearance then anything.) although I do want to get cams, love that sound and a little extra power too! Corsas are nice because there not obnoxious at idle, but still get pretty loud when you are on it.

The most cost effective way to get the car to sound better is to switch to an OR-H pipe and keep your stock muffs. You'll need a tune or MIL eliminators, but if you're planning on adding a tune anyways then I think the OR-H is the way to go. I'm running the Pypes MM system now w/ my stock H and it's a toss-up between that and an OR-H w/ stock muffs. I ran the MM system w/ the OR-H and it was too much for my tastes.

Could someone post links to both so that I know exactly what they are, and what to look for.

I would keep an eye on this auction. Not mine and they look to be in very good shape.

Nice. Thanks for the pics and the ebay auction guys. I'll keep an eye on it. Right now it seems like a good price. Don't they go for over $500. But there is still two days left.

It looks like a 4", but Ford, Jegs, and Summit have it listed as a 3.5". Either way, it looks good and sounds great!
