Which longtube setup gives the most power?

Does anyone know which longtube set up gives the most power? Bassani, Hooker, JBA?

Couldn't tell you........ I do know though that I've seen cars with very similar mods to me but they have Mac longtubes and they aren't making anymore peak power than I am, on the same dyno on the same day. I haven't seen a graph to compare the powerband so maybe there's more power with them elsewhere besides peak, but none the less I haven't been impressed with the Mac headers.

Don't forget about the SLP headers- I've heard good things about those.

That might be a little expensive LOL! My recommendation for a non-supercharged engine would be to use 1 5/8" primaries but if you plan to modifly heavily I'd get 1 3/4" yubes to start. Between the brands they are pretty much equal in terms of power.

Nope- I imagine it would be INSANELY LOUD. Some of the members in this thread are close to full SLP: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=57328

If you want to stay naturally aspirated who are your choices for the 1 5/8 tube headers. Every body seems to be 1 3/4.
Scott P.S. I want stainless headers that are 1 5/8.

AR has 1 5/8" headers, thats what i have. kooks and american racing are pretty much the two best headers for this car. with the 1 3/4" you will prob lose power if your n/a.

I'm on nitrous so that's not really n/a. Looking around I seem to find that everyone has 1 5/8 headers. bassani, jba, maybe hooker too.

So will l/ts void your factory warranty?

If they are paired with a Catted mid pipe will you be able to pass the sniff test, but just not the visual?

Just get some friends in the inspection business. It works wonders.
