it shouldnt be too much of a pain to install if you make sure they match up to the xpipe, and yes you can keep the cats.

i am gonna run it with flows. what do you think, good headers or should i go with something else? i dont want to have problems with them leaking or not fitting correctly, this is why i figured do slp for headers and x. my car is loud as heck already, i love it. how do longtubes affect the sound? deeper and beefier?

I did not know that you can run long tubes with cats. Is it legal to have long tubes?

You might want to take the time to read this whole thread... not all long tube headers are created equal:

I am actually at mustang magic right now, there is a company in long island called american racing making a real nice set of long tubes, with catted x. The guy who makes them used to work at kooks. I am going to get this slapped in in a few weeks

I have SLP longtubes and X pipe on my car and I absolutely love it. The install wasn't that hard and the fit was perfect. I would recommend them to anyone. The only problem I have had is my car is lowered and they have caused some clearance issues. I'm running them with the stock mufflers and that even sounds good. I'll be switching the the cervini's side exhaust soon enough and I think that will sound amazing. Any questions about the SLP LT's let me know.

I looked at these american racing ones, they are a real nice set of stainless headers. I can't wait to get them on. Do you have a clip of the slps?? These ones I'm looking at are like the kooks setup

No video clip I can try and get one this weekend. I don't have a video camera but my buddy does. It says 304 on SLP's website so I'm guessing thats what they are.

304 is better... 409 can still rust on you. This is a pic of some JBA stainless steel headers (409) after only 3,000 miles. These are the worst I've seen, but others with 409 see rust also.

I just picked up my car today after having the Kooks LT's with their matching catless X-pipe installed. I kept the Magnaflow Magnapacks on there but I thought it would be too loud. It sounds great...I actually have less drone than I did before with my stock headers and Magnaflow X-pipe with cats.

By the looks of it, Stainless Works has the nicest set of longtubes. They're 1.75" headers that feed into a 3" system. Overall, it seems the highest quality, though you don't see too many people who purchase 'em, so it's tough to make a call.
