Long Tube vs Shorty

Ok guys I know I'm a nube and this is a really dumb question but here goes. What are the differences between the long tube, and shorty headers and what are the differences in performance gains sound etc.

Shorties will bolt up to stock mid pipe and exhaust. Not worth much gains IMO. With LTs you'll need to purchase a mid pipe, catted or not, to make it work. LTs will get you hp gain and I would recommend a CAI followed by a tune for the biggest gain.

Thanks for the information. Sounds like I need to start saving for a set of long tubes. = )

Yep it's been proven time and time again, since 1996, that the OHC engines used in the Mustang do not respond to shorty headers when used in a NA application. LT's are the way to go for power gains
