I know Ford has them in the accessary book, and they want 30 bucks, I was in walmart yesterday and their most expensive one was eleven bucks, it was a STANT brand....but they had no application list or book. does anyone have any info regrding a locking gas cap..Location, brand, part #, would all be helpful!
I dont know why Ford accessarys art so expensive, 77.00 for rubber floormats, 45.00 for wheel locks etc,etc...

Be careful on ineffective gas cap locks; somehow when we cleaned out the car before a trip we removed the keys, a gas tank away from home we were simultaneously delighted and horrified when when we found sticking a screwdriver in the key slot was effective as the key.

As for the floor mats, I have always had the factory ones, but over the top of those I have always used bathroom rugs. I try to find the color that is closest to my interior. One they have a rubber backing which helps stop moisture from going down to the floor mats, and what is really great about them is they cost less then the dealers mats, and also, I can take them out and wash them in the washer when they get dirty...

I am not concerned as much about what someone is going to take out of my gas tank as what someone with a "special" sense of humor, might put into my gas tank. If Ford makes a quality gas cap, I'll spend the money for it. I've ordered it twice and both times they've told me it won't be available for a long time and to reorder it later? If anyone knows it's available, please let me know and I'll order again. Thanks.

Search the web with the ford part number...the beauty of capitalism is that someone always wants to sell something cheaper if they can still make money.
