Well, many tuners have stated that the stock throttle body is more than enough for our engine displacement. I dont believe that these throttle bodies are a worthy mod for anyone but if they want to waste their money, so be it. I'll never have a larger unit unless I go big time some day, then it may gain some time off my ET @ the strip.

All show and no go, go figure.

I'll let you know tomorrow night if it's worth the Money on the dyno, and later today about the track

In this case, the butt-o-meter is more right than wrong...IMO

I just saw one sell on Ebay for just over 400 bucks, black billet. Maybe someone here....

I tested one on my car when I was getting tuned a couple weeks back, we picked up nothing, zero HP. I was shocked to say the least, and we even did a back to back run for confirmation!!
Sure, it looks good. But, I went back to the stock piece.

If they drop the price by 100 buxcks, I'll pick one up for the looks of it...

Well at the track it didn't mean squat. I ran it two times and then removed it and not only ran my best time but ran around the same time and slower times. I don't think the gain was because I installed the stock TB but just because I actually got traction one time. So as for my track testing no major differences. I'll let you know on the dyno tomorrow.

Thanks,Doug.

Very much looking forward to reading the outcome of your test. Please do it in the morning so I can change it out to go out and play. LOL Looks great. Might help win a show.

Another reputable tuner backs up my claim and many other's. A larger TB means squat.

For those who already have them should unload them now on ebay before the word gets out.

I don't know anthing about them except. That I was interested until a tuner indicatd to me the testing he did indicated so little increase he removed it and sent in back and decided to not sell the product.

This is definitely a high quality product Sad that it seems to be same as stock performance. I do wish someone had come forward before now and posted the results. They may have and I just missed it.

I agree with everything said so far that this probably wont produce any gains on a n/a car with bolt ons.

Now on a forced induction car (blower, turbo, and maybe nitrous) it will result in gains then, as you are freeing up backpressure in your intake tract.

I feel this will be the same with any throttle body application for '05+.

Unfortunatly as expected it didn't do anything for performance gains on the dyno. I tried it both with the stock air intake and the new JLT air intake thinking it may take better advantage of the increased air flow from the JLT kit but it still didn't yeild any more HP or TQ numbers then stock.

Sorry guys, but hey it's a beautiful peice!

Thanks Doug.

Thanks for the info. I guess I can scratch a new Throttle Body from my list of mods. That's another $400 for other stuff!

While there are no numerical gains, has it done anything to help resolve the so called throttle lag?

Thanks Doug. Sad indeed. I thought this might be your findings so I removed it this AM. Now I have to find a buyer that does not read this well informed forum.
