Over all I like the materials and the quailty of the welds is very good I just question some of there design. Just wanted to share my thoughts with the rest of the board members.

I will post a reply if/when I recieve one

Dear Sirs,

I just purchased an adjustable Panhard bar and a g-trac brace from you. I installed them last night, and I have a couple constructive suggestions.

On the Panhard bar the zerk fitting for the bar is not accessible on the side where it bolts to the rear end. The only way to grease this fitting is to pull the bar out and then grease it. If the zerk fitting was put in a little differently this would have been avoided (say 2 o’clock versus 6). Also you can’t adjust the bar with out removing the side that mount to the car because you can’t get a wrench on that side to loosen the nut.

On the g-trac brace I don’t understand why I needed to install all the washes to clear the transmission and why the mounting holes where so much bigger then the bolts supplied. The different mounting depth if you will; might be because of the manual transmission verses the automatic (but why not cut the mount a little longer).

The quality of the materials is excellent; I can’t however say the same about some of the engineering.

Regards,
Gordon

I hope you get a response. I purchased my chrome wheels from Steeda a few years ago and 2 of the 4 wheels had blemishes on them. Gus @ Steeda was less than cooperative or sympathetic to my situation. Good luck.

Call and Talk to Frank. He is the one that helped me get the Steeda Sport Springs settled. He was very understanding and willing to help.

Yes. I have spent over 500 with them in the last month, and I ordered the motormounts thinking I might need them. Ended up not needing them, but they shipped them just before I canceled the order. They told me if I accepted the order it would be a 20% fee to return it even if I didn't open it. Keep in mind I spent an additional 500, and this is the service I get. The only way to avoid that is to refuse the order. I refused the order, and they received it on the 16th per UPS tracking order. I have yet to receive my refund, and their explanation is their shipping department hasn't been able to check them back into the system. I'm not very happy with them at this time. If they fail to refund by mid next week I'll have to dispute the charges.

Their products are high quality, and will buy them again. I just won't buy from Steeda directly, because I am disappointed with their sales department.

I understand when a customer service issue causes great turmoil for anyone such as my previous experiences with Kenne Bell but I have so far had great luck with Steeda and Gus in particular has helped me with larger purchases in cutting prices up to 15% on the total order if over $500.00. You sometimes have to take into consideration the fact that this is the sole aftermarket company Ford endorses and grants pre production releases to. Hope they answer you well and I will mention your post next time I speak with them as a fellow Mustang Source forum member.

Here is the reply that I got from Steeda today. I sure can’t argue with the timely manor in which they responded. And I’m happy they are willing to fix the G-Trac brace. I’m a little confused by the response to the panhard bar however. If the zerk fitting has been fixed why not offer to replace that as well???

Well I guess the adjustability issues is something everyone here should know about. This should be noted on their web page If I would have known this I would have bought a different bar. While is not a major problem it would have been nice to know before hand.

**If you buy the Steeda panhard bar you will have to pull it out to make any adjustments ***

Gordon:

Please return the G-Load brace to my attention. It will be replaced. There were several braces that were improperly machined that were shipped to customers.

The adjustability of the Panhard bar was a cost compromise. To manufacture a bar with the nut where it could be tightened without removal and without compromising the integrity of the bar would have significantly increased the cost to the customer. The zert fitting location was corrected.

Thanks for you email
