larger heat exchanger for street only

larger heat exchanger for street only

if i only drive my car on the street and mostly out of the city do i really need a larger cooler.now im going up to about 13 lbs on my salleen i understand if the temperature gets too hot the timing retards but on the open road a larger cooler cant do but so much cooling can it.

It would help but i wonder if a water/methanol injection kit would work better.

A passive cooler is your best bet by far. I'd never install another pump and more fluid to keep an engine safe. The problem with increasing intercooler is finding the weakest point is it the pump? The intercooler or the heat exchanger? Takes a lot of testing to find out what is your best bet for improving. Have you considered properly baffling the air around the radiator heat exchanger? You can see a substantial improvement making sure the air goes through the coolers and not around them.
