Hey Sam.

How would the Koni STR.T's + Steeda Sport springs compare to the FRPP 2011 MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE HANDLING PACK: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=12413

Good find...just bought a pair from my Ford dealer for $72 OTD. Have the service writer sign you up for a Ford Owner Advantage card if you don't have one, get additional discount on parts.

I got my GT500 front strut mounts at CJ Pony Parts last year, they were around $75 IIRC, the price has gone up since then, but they are currently on sale for $80 with free shipping at CJPP. No noises or anything with mine and the Konis, but I'll probably be pulling them off and installing some Steeda camber plates this spring.

FWIW, I just ordered some Audi S4 Koni Yellow's from Sam, and he beats the price of any other place I looked! Great prices AND someone that knows what they're doing, can't beat that. He's got nearly everything you could want or need for the S197, too, at least as far as suspension goes.

I got the J&M C/C plates a few years back, they have no rubber bushing like the Steeda, they're straight metal all around, and while decent wish I woulda ponied up for the nicer Steeda (or even better Maximum Motorsports ones) as the J&M do have a mild amount of clunkiness and increased road grain transmission to the chassis.

Wouldn't think of ordering the STR.Ts from anyone other than Sam... just trying not to spend $250 on strut mounts if I don't need to.

Sam - Thanks for answering my questions on the phone about the STR.Ts vs. the Sports and strut mounts. I went with the STR.Ts. I'll try rebuilding the bearings in my strut mounts and running those. If they start popping I'll order a set of Steeda mounts from you as well.

Thanks again and I'm looking forward to putting those Koni's in!

James

I don't know if its possible or worth it to rebuild them. I can tell you the new mounts I just picked up from ford are nice and quiet.

Nope it wasn't worth the extra money to me for a little stiffer rubber. I went with the stock gt pieces.

Gotcha. I have an extra pair that came with the springs that I'll be putting on with the Konis. 400 miles on the strut mounts and springs, cant be too bad.

Glenn, do you have any recent pics after the Steeda Sport and Koni install? It's the exact setup I'm going with, just need to order the springs now.
