Kenne Bell Installed ( Limp Mode)

She is on but the car will not run. I need some help here. I loaded the sct tune and started the engine to get an instant check engine light. As I slowly accelerated the car went into limp mode and a wrench light popped up on my gauges. Any Ideas? KB tech told me to double check all my connections and I did. I changed the plugs to HT0 at .035 could I have a bad plug? I am at a loss here.

The problem is in the tune. Is it the KB supplied tune? If so I'd be on the phone now. Sounds like you have a bum tune. Good luck.

I agree

I have to agree that it is a tune issue. Not many MECHANICAL ISSUES will throw a CEL as fast as you discribe. I would be on KB like stink on pooh!

i got the limp home mode once after an extended period of cruise control at 70mph or so. i turned car off and back on and it went away. Kenne Bell admitted that it is in the tune and told me to send tuner back. i havent yet because i am getting custom tuned By Larrocca Performance in less than a month.

I had to but an x-cal2 from modular powerhouse to pull th e codes off my ecm. Hope the codes help kenne bell fix my problem.

I picked up the SCT Scanner from MPH on Friday and ran the test it picked up code P0443 (EVAP Canister Purge Control Solenoid or Valve Faulty). I checked and everything looks ok. What am I missing?

P0443 - Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Control System Canister Purge Valve Circuit Malfunction

Description: The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the state of the EVAP canister purge valve circuit output driver. The test fails when the signal moves outside the minimum or maximum limit for the commanded state. Possible Causes:

VPWR circuit open
EVAP canister purge valve circuit shorted to GND
Damaged EVAP canister purge valve
EVAP canister purge valve circuit open
EVAP canister purge valve circuit shorted to VPWR
Damaged PCM

Diagnostic Aids: To verify normal function, monitor the EVAP canister purge valve signal PID EVAPPDC (or EVMV for electronic valve) and the signal voltage (PCM control side). With the valve closed, the EVAPPDC indicates a 0% duty cycle (0 mA for EVMV) and voltage approximately equal to battery voltage. When the valve is commanded fully open, EVAPPDC indicates 100% duty cycle (1000 mA for EVMV) and a voltage drop of 3 volts minimum is normal. Output test mode may be used to switch output on/off to verify function. Application Key On Engine Off Key On Engine Running Continuous Memory All GO to HX1 .

Checked all connections on the evap and the mass air this morning and now the car runs awesome. Not sure what it was but, the kenne bell is freaking crazy power.
