I just installed the K&N and the cone filter is super close to the body. When the engine vibrates as they all do it looks like its rubbing a bit. Anyone else have this issue and if so what did you do about it?
Thanks

Hi Dan. Same here. The cone is very close to the body and here's the solution: Remember the rubber you had to put around the heat shield? Well I took a piece of left over and snapped it in. Case closed.
Have a good one.

I have the K&N and it is not doing this. I know you probably already have but try refitting everything and making sure all the pieces are tight. The cone may not be butted up agains the tube all of the way.

Would also recommend you try to refit/tighten the unit. Mine is 1/2" from touching.

Mine fits fine also. Maybe the two angle brackets need to be adjusted so it doesn't sit so close.

does your cone rub on the body?
That's a rather personal question isn't it?

Man...what a guy!

Also...Mine is tight and is easily 1/2" or more away from touching anything...you should probably check alignment...

I checked the fit yesterday and managed to get it a little bit more away where I dont think its rubbing, but its not as far away as some people are getting. I'm probably around 1/4"
