Just Got My JLT and Bamachips Xcal

Wow. I was skeptical, but what a difference! It pulls so much harder through 1st and 2nd at low RPM. Best money I have spent in a long time. And kudos to Doug at Bamachips. What a great tune. I am running the 91 octane race.

I also noticed it is much louder. What causes the low roar?

Anyway, I couldn't be happier. I am going to have it dynoed this weekend. Hopefully, I can get around 285 - 290 at the rear wheels. Is that realistic?

I'm glad you enjoy it! An intake and tune is definitely the best bang for the buck when trying to unleash hp on the S-197.

The intake and tune will definitely make the car louder, more at WOT than anything. It's breathing more efficiently, thus expelling more.

As Alloy posted, the reason it "sounds" louder is it is breathing more. I'm going on a hunch here, but I would wager that part of that tune opens the charge motion plates far sooner than a stock tune. (At least on the race tunes)

I'm running the 93 Race tune on mine, and love it. I installed the 87 Torque tune last week, in an attempt to save some scratch on gas money...but I went back to the 93 Race tune just because it is sooooo much better.
