I think doug gave me the wrong tune!
Im pretty new to this board but hang out on our local club board and the other huge mustang site
i know doug hangs out around here once and a while so i figured i would ask this here. anyways about a month ago i order a 91 tune from doug to go along with my racer intake. well i didnt notice it before but tonight i notice the name of the file was TJF1AARON93RACE
I think doug gave me a 93 tune and i have been runnin 91 ever since. you think any damage has been done? what should i do about this?
thanks in advance for any advice

I think step one would be to contact HIM to get the issue resolved, not the message board.
Bamachips isn't a fly-by-night operation from everything I've heard on here, so they should be more than willing to answer your questions and get you set up the way you like if you're unhappy.

Did you specify exactly what octane tunes you wanted when you ordered it? I have a feeling you probably got 91 torq, 91 perf and 93 race, but who knows. Did you look at the other tunes you have (there is always more than one on the programmer) to see exactly what you got?
sorry about posting in the wrong section i usually dont do that. i just noticed this late last night. i recently bought a sct2 tuner from a friend and ordered a single 91 race tune cause utah doesnt have 93
. i havent really noticed any "pinging" but its hard to hear over my exhaust, i do notice more noise from the engine though. thanks for the advice guys, i guess ill just take it easy on it til he gets back to me.
No problem at all
Ya, Doug is great to deal with and he is a busy guy so just be patient.

hey i have heard of freakier things happening over less so im not gonna risk my daily driver and 400 a month payment over thinkin i will just be ok with 2 octane points over

well i sent him and email and tried calling but no answers, hopefully he can get back to me soon so i can stop worrying.
Im not upset yet just want to make sure no damage has been done with gettin on it quite a bit after the install. Been driving with a pretty light foot lately though until i hear back. better safe than sorry
You did the right thing by coming on here and ASKING A QUESTION. There are too many people that stir up $hit on here when people just ask for the opinion of others. It's not like u came in here and slammed Doug or Bama. You asked a simple question due to a concern you had.
I would expect u to get kicked in the sac for slamming someone, but IMO you did the right thing. Doug is sooo good at what he does, but he is also hard to get ahold of at times. Calling him/emailing him is the right move to make, but for piece of mind, plz dont hesitate to come back and ask q's again.
