It took about 45 minutes total start to finish. Installed the JLT intake and installed the DTP tune. The car runs fantastic and the throttle lag is gone completly and it's shifting great. I took it on some back deserted country roads and tested it out, from a dead stop without the brakes applied it lights up the tires and goes like crazy through the gears. 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are firmer and quicker and the car just seems smoother at general driving around town. The throttle lag was really a big issue with me and now that it is corrected the car is much better to drive. I took it from 0 to 90 mph in a very short amount of time and that is enough for me. Im sorry that I don't have access to a dyno for actual figures, really I don't even want to get into the numbers game at all. This kit is fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for more performance.................

LilHog, what does the DTP stand for? I have the SCTXcalibrator and am looking to get the JLT intake soon. Is that the retune the intake comes with?
I took mine to the track last night. With just the tune on it I ran a 13.84.
1-3 gears feel great but that 4Th gear is a killer.
The intake looks great by the way.

SC67stang,
A good CAI with the proper tune will help but 4th gear will always feel like a killer. The problem is the large ratio split between 3rd and 4th gear in the autos. Nothing much you can do about it

Steve, here is the website for DTP Racing. This is the tune that is provided with the SCT Xcalibrator from JLT.

SC67Stang, can you scan or post your complete time slip. I guess you have stock gears? You had a old post that you run a 87 SCT tune and 272.9 RWHP? Is this still correct? I am doing some testing with the automatic and will record track et. I know about the 3-4 gear drop (2000 rpm drop). I have installed a 4.30 gear and will test this sunday. Car feels better and seems to make a good/better charge to the 1/4 after that 3-4 th gear change. I will post results late tomorrow. I am going to try and down load a 87 tune from diablo tomorrow also and record track results.Thanks.

Times look good. Good luck with your mods and future runs. Thanks again for your time slips. I hope to test a 4.30 gear on a stock automatic - trap tomorrow.

Great! Glad your happy with the package. It's really a big difference is't it?

DTP is Dyno Tuned Performance. They are the shop I am working with on this project. Great guys and really know there stuff.

Thanks and let me know if there's anything I do for you in the future.
