What I don't understand is, if the Tornado Fuel Saver and similair vortex creating intake gizmos does not work, then how could TBS's like this possible work?
Both supposedly add power/torque/gas mileage by creating a vortex action and increasing atomization.
When I posted a question about the Tornado, 100% of the replies said it won't work. Howver, I see a lot of people with TSBs. PEople seem to believe these work.
Can anyone explain why one is effective and the other is not? Can anyone explain why OEMs do not but these things in? Do they negatively impact emissions?

Same thing I told 20 other people who I got this from a guy at a performance shop. Tornado's or other gadgets such as those, are placed in the ARM of the intake assembly. During the process of flowing through the intake, the tornado can loose its vortex or "spin" going through the bends of the arm. Thats why there is no point in buying those things, and they are 3 times less more money than a throttle body spacer. With a throttle body spacer, the tornado effect is made as its going right into the intake manifold where it does not loose the vortex!! Thats where u get the power from. Horsepower numbers and torque numbers add up in the end, but if you want a lil more boost of hp and torque with more throttle response, get one of these things, Im very pleased with it.

The C&L should have no problem, I've seen the C&L up close and it looks identical to the K&N arm except for the material its made of, it should be no problem installing with the C&L

I'm sold on putting one of these TB spacers. I'm currently watching "2 Guys Garage" on Speed Network. They just put one on a Chevy half ton pickup truck...the RWTQ just jumped from 230 ft-lb to 267 ft-lb on the dyno! Nice bang for the buck upgrade...They say lengthning the TB increases the "Volumetric Efficiency"...this particular kit did have a slot to induce a swirl to, but they didn't mention the vortex effect. I'm going to get one too

I saw that too, I wonder if a JLT CAI would still fit after the TBS is installed? May make my decision on JLT or K&N.

But in all fairness they also put on headders and a cold air kit to get those numbers.

If I understood correctly:
Truck baseline = 202 RWTQ,
Truck with Headers = 230 RWTQ
Truck with Headers and TBI Spacer = 267 RWTQ
and then I had to leave for church after that ...so I don't know what the final tally was with the CAI kit....do you remember?...I'm thinking I heard around 270 or 280?...I was heading out the door.

Yes...but they dyno'd each time they put a mod, and wrote some of the numbers down -

I've got a Vortech with Intercooler on the way. Will this mod still work with a supercharger?

hey paul, dont know if u saw on steeda web site that they sell a spacer for the 04 gt. they gained 2-3hp from this and 5-7hp on supercharger engines. i know the 04 is a little different then the 05 but i figure it should be close in results. looking forward to seeing your spacer!!!!

Paul, How much was the final cost. RPM Outlet has it listed for $89.95, but they have several hidden charges listed on their website.
Just trying to find the cheapest place to buy one.

I don't think it will fit with the JLT. I was there when Hatchman put his in and with no spacer it was rubbing in some places. Ask him about his. One thing that could be done though is trim the elbow that comes with the JLT kit to make it shorter. The one they sell is much longer than the one they advertise.

Final i think was 94, 95 or 96, it was 8 bucks shipping for ground. No hidden costs other than the shipping.
