Alright folks,
Car has been at CJ pony parts for almost a week for the install of my LT, pullies, retune, off road H. The car was suppose to be ready this past Wednesday, however I got a call from the mechanics and they told me that no gaskets were in the box with the headers and that JBA's instructions were to use the stock gaskets and that is what they tried to do and they said they started it up and it sounded like a lawnmower. They said they have been trying to look for gaskets every and could not find any and that they had some other JBA headers there and they opened the box and there were no gaskets in there either.

I got on the phone with JBA and they said that they were shipping them like that on purpose and that the stock gaskets were fine to use 99% of the time and I guess that I was that 1 percent. So I had JBA overnight the gaskets to CJ's in PA. I talked to the mechanics there today and they said since everything was on already in, it still took them almost the whole day to get it right. So they split the cost of install with me for an additional 8hrs. Originally I paid in advance 465 and now I have to give up an additional 200.

So in short if you don't want to be that 1%, make sure you get gaskets from JBA or were ever you order them from.

ON a good note though, they let me here how it sounded over the phone and I liked what I heard
I pick the car up in the morning.

Torrence, man I'm really sorry hear about that. That bites you were in that 1% and it ended up costing you $200 more I'm glad though the shop worked with you on the install, they made it work and you were able to hear how great it sounds. Torrence,

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Mine also had header leaks on initial installation, but that turned out to be due to the header flanges not being flat and flush enough to make a good seal. When I got a new set of headers from JBA, I also went ahead and ordered a new set of gaskets from Ford to be on the safe side.

On the plus side, I've had them on for about 1,000 miles now with not a hint of a leak. The look is killer, the sound awesome, and the performance gains are monstrous! You'll be more than happy with them when you get your car back.

Good luck!

Thanks for the sympathy guys.... Jason it will be there this weekend, the guys at CJ's were great. They fixed my bumper that had the little gap as well. The bad part is, I was trying to get it to the body shop in time for this weekend. I had some exterior mods I wanted to get put on and that will have to wait till next week.

I really hope I enjoy the power gain as well as new added sound.

I just want you all to learn from this, so you don't go down the same road. Make sure you all get your gaskets for $20.00, or else you maybe paying alot more.
