Hey John,I belive they would work with your X-Pipe. I'll take some detailed measurements after I install them if you want.It will probabbly require a custom piece of pipe to conect the X-Pipes to the headers,no big deal for your shop though! Are you planing on keeping your cat's? Mine will be history, I'm following the headers with JBA's offroad H-pipe (bolt-right on) then spliceing that into my existing exaust with Magnapacks out back! Gona be real loud cant wait plus a real HP gain as well! Dosent get musc better than that.BTW the JBA H-Pipe comes with bungs for the O2 scensor's!

Do you need a program change in computer with no cats (are O2 sensors after cats?)

Rob: The O2 sensor's are screwed into the cats themselves. The JBA H-Pipe will go where the cat's used to be. They have bungs to screw the O2 sensors back in so there not just hang'n there. The check engine light will be on till I correct that with the SCT Flash tunner.

I believe that JBA makes "shorty" headers also so you don't have to take off the cats and the car will pass emissions tests.

Check out the JBA site, they have all that info on there.

I've never even seen an emissions test before. Why is there so much concern about them?

You don't have to worry (since you live in Florida), but in lots of states you get ticketed (and can't register) unless your car passes an emission test each year.

Long tube header most likey don't have a problem passing the sniffeer part of the test. It's the visual part that it will fail. If you can find a shop that doesn't look so closely there should be no problem. I know in california no long tube headers are allowed period, but that said if the inspector doesn't notice them then they aren't there (right) hint hint $50 tip.

JBA also has the short tube headers, combine with HI-PO cats, would that solve the problem and get the same performance and sound, and most important ( around here anyway ), the emission test. I think that is the way I will be going, of course, after i get the car, if they ever build it. Glad everyone is already doing mods to their cars, it will provide guys like me a test bed for what is worth it and what is NOT!!

The high flow cats may pass emissions but you'll prolly have to install them yourself with a new car.

wouldn't the same place installing the headers and new exhaust install them, what is the going rate to install the headers and exhaust?
