JBA complete system

hello,,
I WAS LOOKING FOR A AOMPLETE SYSTEM FOR MY 07 VORTECH SUPERCHARGED MUSTANG GT WHEN I SETTLED ON JBA AS IT OFFERED A COMPLETE SYSTEM.
IT INCLUDES LT HEADERS,O/R H PIPE AND A CATBACK WITH A REASONABLE PRICE.
I AM REALLY WORRIED SINCE I NEVER HEARD JBA ON OUR ROADS OR AT REAL LIFE.
I WANT A LOUD SYSTEM SINCE I GOT 420RWHP AND I WANT THAT TO BE HEARD ALSO!!

Hello and welcome to the site! Sounds like you've got some nice mods there with the Vortech.

First of all, a very friendly word of advice, please do not type in all caps since most people think that means that you are yelling/screaming at them. Your first post, so it's no big deal, just wanted you to know.

I have just the JBA axle backs, but they are not really all that loud. One of the quiter aftermarket axlebacks that I've heard, actually. Yes, JBA makes a full system, and it's nice to have stuff that matches.

However, if you want to be loud, the easist and cheapest way is to go with a Pypes offroad H pype. A 15mm socket and few other tools and you can have your stocker swapped out in about an hour. MUCH louder than stock, and it's cheap and easy to instal. Now for a set of axlebacks, their are dozens out there, but since you sound like you want a system from the same manufacturer, might as well get the Pypes Violator axlebacks. Stainless steel, look great, sound great, and once again, cheap and easy to install.

Me, I'd leave the headers alone. Stock headers flow pretty well up to 600 hp, so I'll worry about them after that. They are a pain in the *** to swap out, and expensive to boot, and the power gains aren't worth the time and money. I've seen people with headers dyno tune with 2-3 rwhp more, so when you've already got a supercharger, not a big difference when you can pulley/tune/boost more hp easily.

Hope this helps. and once again, welcome to TMS!

I have the JBA Longtube headers and catted H-pipe and I absolutely love it! I definately felt gains from the longtubes, but I can't give you numbers since I have not dyno'd the car yet. I picked up the headers and H-pipe off of ebay for $900 and installed them myself, so it was a good bang for the buck mod.

If I had to pick a full system from one manufacture it would be bassaniIf I had to pick my personal exhaust it would be mac LT's, catted prochamber, and pypes mid mufflers

I'm running MAC L/Ts and O/R prochamber with GTA A/Bs. I love the sound! No drone, screams at WOT, and rumbles nicely. Car feels like it just breaths better and responds nice. And this is with no cai or tune.

Remember that the volume will come mainly from changing the midpipe and the tone will come from the mufflers. Choose the wrong muffler and you can end up with nasty drone really quick. GTA and Corsa make mufflers with no drone and great tone. I had Bassani mufflers before I went with the GTA's. They sounded great but they had some drone. If it wasn't my daily driver on the interstate, I would have kept the Bassani's.

As far as the mid pipe, Pypes and Bassani are the way to go. I have the Bassani x-pipe and love it. Both have a nice sound and will give good HP and torque gains.

Another thing to consider is if you want cats or not. Removing the cats up's the volume considerably and makes it more raspy. We did dyno runs with and without cats and there were no gains either way.

Did you compare the Bassani hi flow cats and no cats? I compared the stock cats with the Pypes offroad pipe and gained 6 hp. Not a lot, and definitely not what they claim, and I put the stocker back on. Too loud for me, must be gettin old.

I compared the Bassani comp cats and no cats. I can see how there would be a gain over stock. Thanks for pointing that out.

I wish it specified exactly what exhaust because I don't really feel like looking up the part #... Jba is not the loudest mufflers for our cars...Here i'll give you the scoop, you want a loud badass sounding exhaust for your car... Get longtubes with a catted h-pipe and the pipes mid muffler system and everybody will bow down

the loudest axle back is going to be your slp loudmouth or boomtubes..
the best bang for the buck is going to be pypes mid muffler system in my opinion, or pypes violators.
