The klunk can be replicated (at least by me) by having the car sitting still and then aggresively turning your wheels lock to lock. It's the upper strut mount bearings, not a mystery at all.

I'll be going in for the first service next week, and have them take care of it.

1) Front end "klunk" noises
3) Heater control
5) Filling the fuel tank is a PIA
1. Have the klunks occasionally. But I think the front suspension design is the cause. Way too much vertical motion that feels unsprung and poorly damped. Rides like a slammed ricer. This, by the way, is my biggest complaint about the whole car.

3. I have found poor foot heat flow when the temp control is full warm. But when I reduce the temp setting to half way in the red zone the floor heat flow is better.

5. I have a premature fill shutoff with about 1 out of 3 refuels. Seems to be pump ramp slope and nozzle related.

The noise you all are referring to is the Upper strut bearing mounts. I brought mine in, they ordered the part and had it fix the following day. They told me that it isn't a big deal just very annoying.

Chris - yep that's the one - worst service I've ever had - I go all the way into Vista LM in Woodland Hills - they have always taken care of me and know how to listen to a customer. Thanks for the referral - I'll call Sean as soon as I get my mods in and have him set it up for me - nice to know we have a good tuner so close!

thx - brad

Chris - I noticed you've had your upper strut bearing mounts replaced already - did you have this done at the Simi Valley Ford dealer? Did they treat you right?

thx - Brad

I have issue 1 for sure and I think I am getting number 2. I was going to have them check my front strut bearing mounts when I take it in for my first oil change in a couple of weeks.

I haven't experienced the other issues.

I actually have not had the upper strut mounts replaced.I installed the Eibach pro kit and the noise is gone!..I only heard it a couple of times anyways, but now it has dissapeared completely!..give simi valley ford a try..they seem to be helpful when it comes to service, warranty work etc.

Yeah well it's not a big deal because they didn't invest in the car. Tell them to drop 30,000 and then ask if it is a big deal. I'm sick of that kind of service

Sorry Chris - I mistook gendoni's post for your's above. I'm going to have to see your Stang soon - cause I want to see how it looks with the Eibach's - how much did it lower your car and how do you like the ride now? Assuming you did shocks as well?

I actually did not change out the shocks. The pro kit lowers the vehicle 1.5 in front and 1.75 in the back I believe and it rides very nice.Sean at extreme did the install for me and It looks wayyyy better now that its dropped.Little stiffer, but nothing to complain about and nothing you won't get used too very quickly

I've only had problems filling up once. I don't seem to have any airflow issues between heater/defroster. I have noticed a slight rattle from one of the air vents, I think its the chrome ring around it. Also, there seems to be a rattling/squeaking from somewhere in the dash. Anyone else have that? I love the car and so far it has been great, but that rattle has got to go!

That rattle is slowly driving me insane. :bang: :bang: :bang:

I get a very annoying rattle from the passenger side air vent. Haven't had a chance to take it back to the dealer yet, so I'd be interested in any experiences others have had with that problem.

Other than that, I get a deep clunk sometimes on low rpm shifts, and get a vibrating noise which I think is coming from the shifter or transmission, but I can't really identify the origin of the noise.
