instlling CAI today any last minute tips?

Putting my CAI kit on in a couple of hours and reflashing the computer. Any last minute tips, suggestions, or things to watch out for? It seems pretty basic, am I missing something.

I am always over preparing but better safe than sorry I guess.

Nope - it's very simple. Just make sure you don't install a tune for higher octane than you have in the tank.

Plug your tuner into your car first, and make sure it can read the car before you install the CAI. I got a bad Xcal on my first order and it wouldnt read my car for anything, this after I'd already installed the CAI, and had to uninstall it and send it back. Doug took care of it like a champ though and had a new one out to me a day later, and found out he got a bad batch from SCT. Although this is history, I still think its wise to check and make sure.

Other than that, its a real simple install, good luck!

Good point, which kit/tuner do you have? I don't think DiabloSport Predator's work with '07's yet. But they might have that finally updated.

While installing my CAI, I lost the blind nut that the air filter assembly bolts to in the fender well. Be careful- I guess it can drop into the gap between the fender and the inner fender liner (bummer). It's a Bit_h to get it out of there.

Thanks for the tips. Good idea about trying the tuner first. I have the JLT and SCT tuner.

Well it went on with no problem and runs great. I stared with the 89 Torque tune and will put the 93 on there after another tank or so of gas. Here are some pics.

The performance is good. Only problem is I only have 550 miles on the car so I was not real familiar with the baseline power yet. While I can tell a difference, truthfully it is not as much as I expected. Then again I only have the 89 TQ tune on it for now until I run a few more tanks of 93 through it then I will switch to the 93.
