I just ordered a SLP Loudmouth Axle-Back Exhaust, and I called the local Midas shop to find out how much it would cost to install. They said to take off the stock exhaust and install this one would cost $200.
Does this sound right? if not, what should I expect to pay?
BTW - I have no mechanical ability, so doing it myself is completely out of the question.

None? Are you sure about that? I'm not world's greatest wrencher either, but this is something you could do with common hand tools. All an axle back is, is nuts, bolts and clamps.
If you must go that route, shop around. I'm thinking that should run you more like a hundred bucks. Can't see it taking more than hour. I doubt their shop labor rate is $200 hourly.

Even with NO skills at all it shouldn't take you more than an hour to put these on. Each clamp has two bolts, slide it off. Reverse back on. I would definatly shop around if you refuse to get your hands dirty. I wouldn't think more than $50.

If you pay the $200 you're nuts ..... Like others have said, the biggest part of this chang eout is getting the rear end up in the air. If you have a good set of stands or Rhino ramps and you can undo a few bolts, you are done ....
Save yourself the $200. Even if you did have them do it, it should be more than $50. They could do this in 10 minutes ...

Keep in mind, it took me over 20 minutes to replace the gear shift **** on the car, so you may want to change your time estimate.

I would say that this install is dirt-simple. I am sure you can do it yourself in about an hour.
If you would rather pay someone, the most I would pay is $50

Just a socket set to take the nuts off the clamps. Everything else just slides in and out. You just have to be able to get under the rear end and give yourself some room, it will make your life easier. Trust me you can do this....

YOU can easily do this!..Easiest exhaust change I have ever seen probably!.If it takes you over an hour I would be surprised!..Remove clamps in the back, pull out muffler hangers and install new kit in reverse order!...DONE..Oh , SLP stands for Street Legal Performance

The system for the 05 should be a lot louder since it really is just a muffler delete, unlike the version for the 04 which had some form of "muffler" ..... I've been thinking of going with slp too, so a sound clip is needed....

And, yes you absolutely need to jack up the car. I tried it without and was cussing up a storm.
